its amazing how many contributors to the macrumors forum are registered developers.

Been having a play with the lock screen elements and quite like some of the results!
Not had the time to play with different layouts. Keeping it simple for next few hours lol.
Too bad Depth Effects get automatically disabled whenever you add widgets.
Apple could've let us enable Depth Effects just for the time and not the widgets.

Unless I missed it somewhere I feel like they missed a trick with the lock screen. They could have included dynamic wallpapers like in MacOS which changes based on the time of day and adapted it further by changing the colour and style of font with the background

A simple observation that a developer release happens and there are suddenly thousands of posts, comments, and screenshots from people using it and demonstrating it who, by definition, must be registered developers.
So, .... there must be many developers in this forum! Is that a not nice observation?
In ios16, are we still able to use live photos as lock screen wallpapers, so that if you long press it animates? Not sure anyone has tried yet, as I cannot find an answer.
+1, when I press and hold it just goes to add a new screen UI
How do you get the clock display behind the foreground of the picture? Does it have to be a portrait picture?

Any thoughts on the chances they’ll add more widgets like iMessages or Mail like you can do on your watch?
I suspect they'll be adding more by September. It seems a bit limited right now.
It's beta 1... guaranteed that more will becoming from Apple... and all of the 3rd party app developers will get on board, too... patience, young grasshopper
