How did you manage to get volume slider? I thought there wasnt a volume slider on the lockscreen widget in beta 1.
Must be there because my phone was connected to the HomePods which themselves were streaming music.
What if you don't choose any theme for the lockscreen and you continue using it like you used to in iOS 15, does the original clock still appear?
Or it defaults to a new one anyway?
It's exactly my thought, that I haven't seen any better than the original one, I love thin and clean lines much more...
Agreed. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it at first but I feel like because the font style for the day, date and widgets etc are all the same, except for the clock, it just all seems a bit mismatched and the clock now seems a bit out of place.

I guess I need to start framing my Portrait mode photos with the subject a little lower in the frame. Using classic rule of thirds framing with just a sing subject ends up with them too high to use the depth effect... So I have lots of photos I'd love to use that way but can't. Also, something I noticed when trying to see if I could scale down this photo when customizing the Lock Screen, it looks like the machine learning recognizes semi-transparent material? It's wicked cool and I really wish I had framed this shot differently, but I'm still loving all the customizations.

I’m not a fan of most of them, but to each their own. However, the ability to select a much larger heavy font is very nice for glancing.
Awww man. I was skeptical when Gurman said there would be a new lock screen, but I have to admit I was impressed during the keynote. They really brought the Apple Watch Faces customization features to the iPhone.
Right now, I find iOS 15.5 pretty buggy*, and I'm scared to install iOS 16. I also don't want the hassle of testing my apps on my real devices through Test Flight, and I cannot wait until September to push updates to it.
But I am jealous of these Home Screens you guys posted. They're just so damn badass!

Can't have any widgets enabled, as they would be in that depth part.
It's connected to Focus modes, which can now be changed automatically, so theoretically you have some more of that dynamic customization.
