We were leaf-peeping in Cades Cove, Smoky Mountains, a few years ago, when it started to snow. Quickly snapped this photo with my iPhone. One of my favorites from that day.

This was a picture I took in Positano Italy that came up as a wallpaper suggestion! So perfect as a lock screen.

Oh my goodness what a lovely photo. My wife and I are travelling to Italy next year, and the Amalfi Coast is the primary reason why we decided to go.

I have a tendency when I photograph to zoom way in. The eyes are the windows of the soul, yadda yadda. Now I regret that a little...the best lock screen pictures have a buffer on the top of course.

I cannot believe that you can't disable camera access from the "Lock Screen". Talk about completely ridiculous security related design decisions.

So anyone with physical access to your phone can take dick picts, make child porn, or put various other undesirable material on your phone. That's just fabulous! But hey, even if it doesn't actually lock your phone down, it can display pretty pictures.

Yes, I am aware you can totally disable the camera with screen time. That's not a real solution to this ridiculous design issue.

With the new phones taking photos at around 100MB each, someone could just take a few photos and fill their iCloud storage up :)

Does anyone have a shortcut set up to change your Lock Screen wallpaper automatically? Did you try to see if the widget setup can be used in conjunction with this automation? I have both Lock Screen and Home Screen wallpapers to change automatically each day and wish to just add the widget to that.

I believe it overrides the lock screen widgets. No idea if the two can be combined for that.

I've played around with a couple of Focus Modes:

Normal mode:

Fitness Mode:

Do Not Disturb Mode:

Evening Mode:

Too bad I cannot set Weather widgets without the Location Services being On. I only use them during my workouts, the rest of the time they're off. It seems that on the Watch, there is a default city option and you can set Weather complications even with the Locations Services off. They did not implement it the same way for the Lock Screen. So, useless for me.

I added a Focus for when I really mustn't be joined by anyone or anything, I called it F...Off🔥

As someone with CDO, I find myself thinking WAY TOO HARD about my lock screen. I really do love the depth effect. In conjunction with some font choice, it really makes the lock screen seem composed, more like a magazine cover. It gives me a little jolt of pleasure to see it. BUT doing so eliminates the row of widgets and impairs functionality. Choices, choices!

Wish list (not complaints, just wishes): in slideshow mode, allow me to assign specific font choices or top-line widget to each photo. Or better yet, allow me to rotate whole lockscreens, each individually composed, some with widgets and some without.

I have set up some lockscreen/homescreen sets to be combined with custom focuses, and that works well. But it does require manual entering and exiting individual focuses. Which is of course exactly what those are for, which isn't what I'm specifically after.

(Oh, CDO? It's the same as OCD, only the letters are in the correct alphabetical order.)

It seems like we have no choice but to use the photo shuffle lock screen option which limits photo to up to 50… also it doesn’t give us option to shuffle the Home Screen wallpapers 😫
