You dont have to have AOD turned on for Live Activities to work.

Yes and I am used to replacing the flashlight and camera buttons with other apps from my Samsung device from work and since Apple does not allow it, this was the next best options to keep workflow (habits) consistent

Great idea for inviting focus into your life. Hopefully Apple updates iOS and allows the flashlight/ camera buttons to be changed for more optionality.
