Ah I see. You’re adding an extra “screen” in the abbreviation. People here generally refer to as AOD - Always On Display.

So personally my experience hasn’t been good with AOD. It drains noticeable amount of battery so much so that I have turned it off now after trying for a few weeks. Plus it’s very distracting as in most of the times I feel like the screen is actually fully on.

I found the same on battery life with 16.0.1 and 16.1 ... battery life matched day to day use (under 14 days) as my 82% battery health 12 mini i had before I returned and upgraded to 13 mini. hoping ioS 16.2 is better. the confusion of the screen being always on also caused me confusion.
