"Shift key" + "Arrow" doesn't highlight text on Messages App. Try it?

hi guys,

I tried this on two Mac machines and found the same result and I am surprise no one else is reporting this. For me, it only doesn't work on Messages and every where else seems to working fine (safari, chrome, notes, etc) so far.. strange.

to replicate:
in message app, type anything, then try to use either shift key + left or right arrow to highlight one letter at the time.

Same here. I use that a lot. I hope that gets fixed.

I just came here to post the same thing. It's really annoying me! Ended up switching around to different apps to see if it was system-wide or just Messages, and it seems to be just Messages! Very annoying! I didn't realize how much I use Shift+arrows, but it's a LOT!

weird that there's not more of us.. I'd expect if it's a consistent problem for all that this must be call out by now... :\

Just updated and same issue. Honestly I'm thankful it's just in Messages – I was afraid it was a new "feature" throughout the OS. Yikes.

Update: latest update from December 14 fixed the problem.
