I do lose bars (5 down to 0) when bridging the 2 antennas (via death grip or just with one finger), but I haven't left the building yet today nor have I made any calls, so I'm not getting agitated over it yet. Plus I won't go naked, so it will have a case on as soon as I get home. I'm going to take a few days and test it out at different places.

Mine didn't make it into the local FedEx facility until 8:28am this morning, but they still got it onto the truck at 9:04. Looks like I am getting it today! Wohoo FINALLY!!! :) Ordered 6/17 @ 5:27pm.

I'm trying to activate it, put my zip code and last 4 digits of social in, and press continue, and looks great, but has been stuck on "accessing iTunes store" for the last 20 mins now.

Have no idea if it's supposed to do that, or it's my computer messing up.
 
It finally arrived! I can't help thinking that as a June 16th 1:28PM PDT preorderer from Apple, that if I would have ordered a week later that I would have received it a week earlier. Take a bite out of that........Apple!
 
How long does it take for AT&T to activate the phone? Because my phone says "waiting for activation, this may take some time"
 
Mine arrived in los angeles today. Originally ordered 6/21; shipped 7/8, with estimated arrival of 7/15, so they beat their deadline by a few days!

It has activated without issue and its now downloading all my stuff from the last backup. No problems at all, and no signal drop with death grip either!
 
AHHHhhhhhhhh....

well it got here. Complete with that heroin-addict feeling. Hearing the sync cable click into the charging port conjured up images best left for a drug addict support group.

I'm going to go detox now. time for a run.... until it's done charging of course!
 
Got mine, unbelievable. Its so thin... and the screen really is all that... Man this thing is nice...
 
Woohoo! Fiance just signed for ours. I was worried that we'd have to wait until tomorrow to pick them up from our apartment office, but he just happened to be home when the FedEx guy showed.

Interestingly it was then reported as out for delivery 8 seconds later Saturday morning. Nothing then happened but reported as out for delivery again this morning so fingers crossed.

In the CAN...

So, as I am eagerly awaiting my iPhone 4, thinking that since it arrived in Greensboro, NC yesterday at 4:45 PM, I will surely get it today since I live 50 minutes away from the FedEx hub, I get a horrible surprise. Checking the delivery status, I was horrified to see that they still had my package in TN, in "clearance" :( I called FedEx to get this matter cleared up, when I was delivered more TERRIBLE news...My precious coveted iPhone 4 is sitting all alone in something they call "THE CAN"... According to FedEx "specialist" Mark (who I think is partially deaf and dumb), my phone, which is 50 MINUTES from my house will "probably not be delivered until the promised date of Thursday, July 15th". Say it ain't so! I am holding out hope that somehow, the FedEx fairies will bring my phone home tomorrow. Until then, I am keeping hope alive...:eek:
 
Mine's out for delivery...somehow they got it to the local facility this morning before trucks went out, which was a pleasant surprise. Now if the Fedex guy would hurry up and show! Usually Fedex gets here by now...

Count your blessings, gridmonkey. I live in the stick-region of NC and it will take my phone 3 days to travel the 50 minutes to my house :(
 
Mines still out for delivery but Fedex is never consistent with the times that they deliver here, one day it will be 10am and the next day it will be 7:30pm...sometimes the driver says that they attempted delivery but never really did, hopefully today is not one of those phantom delivery days for me.
