Ooo yeah I've had phantom delivery days too. A phantom delivery day today would be MADDENING!
Uhhh still waiting but status says it out for delivery. Maybe because its monday they are taking longer.
Looks like wifey signed for mine a few minutes ago. Sweet!
Too bad my account is at home but I sync the phone with my computer at work. Oh well, I'll have to wait till tomorrow to set it up.

I ordered the iPhone 4 from Apple UK on July 5th.
Today I got the 'prepared for shipment' information with the Delivery Status Widget and I was like... OMG, it's coming!!!11
However, when I check the status on the Apple Online Store UK all I get is 'not shipped yet'.
What information can I trust?

it will probably be here sooner. A lot of orders were filled and shipped before the date apple gave us.

It's a strange UK thing. The Apple Store in the UK doesn't indicate the "prepared for shipping" status. It is though, you can tell as the cancel option is removed.

sure is! almost done syncing already! full 3G bars and does not go down when i hold it on the lines.

Synced up and up and running.
Tried a few things right off the bat:
1 - NO yellow spot bottom right!
2 - Tried to put the death grip on NO EFFECT AT ALL on reception!
3 - Went to mirror and wanted to see if the problem I am reading with the phone lighting up and going dark and randomly pushing buttons with face problem was there. I see NOTHING WRONG. Works perfectly exactly as my 3GS. Phone goes dark when I am talking and lights up when I remove from my ear.
Not sure if 2nd batch of phones have some sort of improvement but I can verify all of the above. I am a happy camper!!!!!!!!!!

Oh thanks, I didn't pay attention to the cancel option.
Whenever I ordered something from Apple the 'prepared for shipment' was followed by the shipment notice only one day after.
My iPhone is due to ship on July 22 - that's ten days from now.
Can I expect my iPhone to arrive early or could it possibly be stuck at the current state for the next days?
