iPod touch Ships in 1-3 business days?

well, if this is your first touch and/or iPhone then you can browse the app store and review/bookmark all the apps you'll want to get! that can take hours.... :D
iLounge has some good app reviews in the iPhone gems articles.

mine says the same thing why is it that it registered sunday and mine hasent move any where it just says kunshan then sunday data transmitted 3:01 wtf is it moving? is it still in china omg i ll kill if it is. i paid for the 2-3 days shipping so they still got tomorrow so...

what if it says that the package was pickup after the fedex cut off ??? and no activity since 12 :( aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

I just called and was told by customer service that they are now being detained in customs, which is somehow new to them. I was promised delivery by today when I ordered. now they could give me no information at all. not awesome at all.
 
Well, I've bitten the bullet and ordered a 32GB Touch from the UK Apple Store today (that's what overdrafts are for, right?!)

Email says "We estimate your order to be shipped 3 - 5 business days.
We estimate your order will be delivered to your shipping address on or before 23 - 26 September."

It's gonna be a looooong wait :)

how can your tracker not be updated since the 12 and its in your hands? thats dumb fedex need to pick up there feet and get it together. im totally gonna demand me ten bucks back if i dont get it today. they said the the 17 and i paid for the 17 so better have it by the end of today.

mine hasn't updated since the 14 is in transit so hopefully ill get it but i doubt it. who else is getting screwed on the 2-3 delivery?

and whats this customs thing now screw that.
 
with standard free shipping. i ordered a custom engraved touch on saturday night (montreal time), shipped very early monday morning (around 4am) and arrived before noon on wednesday... about 2.5 days for standard shipping from china > alaska > new jersey > ontario > montreal... that's pretty fast...

I just couldn't believe it on the phone when they told me it was a customs issue. Shouldn't they know how that works by now?

the early estimate is a very generous one. if you are lucky it may com faster. My "estimate" was the same as yours, but fedex says "19th before 12:00pm" now =D

I am so very Jealous. Mine hasn't updated in 4 days. I really would like my $300 dollar ipod some day soon. I never have liked FedEx.
 
why would customs stop the shipment? i ordered my ipod on the 12 and was suppose to get it on the 17! but it still in shanghai!!! and now they dont have a date for when it'll get here. so i called fedex and they said it "should" leave china today and start scaning in the usa tomarrow or sat.

WTF!!!!!! so if you paid for expedited shipping you can get ur money back.
i called apple at1-800-676-2775 and asked for a refund of my shipping money and they said ok plus an extra 25 bucks so 35 total in 3 business days back on my creditcard so im not sooooo mad right now but still not bad i guess but still.......

That's messed up. I ordered mine on the 16th and it's already left Shanghai, with an est. delivery date of tomorrow.
 
Do they ship them from China for the whole world? If so, it would seem US Apple Store customers get a headstart on us Limeys...

Still no updates. Fantastic. something about customs. might be nice to have an update. I guess I will have to complain for some money back. You would think they would have their act together.

Fairy nuff- worst case scenario from their estimate is this time next week, I can live with that. Purely out of curiosity I rang the Trafford store today- they have "a couple" of 8GB's in and think they'll have more "...in about a week." so no difference there, really.

I've already downloaded about 8 free apps and games to iTunes ready for it coming :D

That is really strange. This location in China has been shipping iphones and touches forever. I got mine engraved and it was delivered to NYC from China in just two days (actually, I'm leaving work now and it should be in my hot little hands in about 1 hour). Good luck with customs....
