i'm 5' 2" in height, but in my mind i'm the tallest guy in the world. I used to be fat for my size, but i'm down 20 lbs to a very healthy 140 lbs :)

honestly, i don't think i'm jealous. Do i wish I was a few inches taller? sometimes. But when I'm hunting, I can get under tree branches and literally follow the exact same path that deer follow, allowing me to track them well. My hunting buddies are jealous of that :) The only that does tick me off is clothes or shoe shopping - i'm half way b/n buying adult and kids sizes. ie. my feet are size 6.5 :) my waist is small (29), but i always need the length cut. I could wear kids jeans b/c the length is great, but the waist is too small. :)

I've never seen short guys as being jealous so it's interesting to see that article. if anything, being vertically challenged as made me want to excel that much more.

and, as Yoda says:

"size matters not"

:)

it's all in your mind :)

6-3 here. Its not all happy times, since I need a size 15 shoe. However, I would rather take longer finding big shoes than to be a shorty.

The only thing about my body that actively bugs me (aside from my general fitness, I can actually control that :p) is that I'm just shy of 6'. I just need another half inch or so.

yeah same here. i'm not jealous or anything, but being right at the border of 6', sometimes i do wish i was just a little bit taller to be in the 6's

I think there is no cause to be sorry about... God gave you the height you have, so be glad!
Weight - yes, you may be slim if you want. You may change your weight if you want. But height is the thing we can't have an influence on...

And about short men... I don't think an envy depends on their height )) Be jealous means not to entrust to sb. Just per my opinion...

Napoleon Complex + lots of brooze = **** with potential to be either annoying or really f**king dangerous.

Anyone else notice just how good Joe Peshi is in Goodfellas etc?

Scarily accurate.

I agree. I also hate to hear people say things like "It's hard to lose weight! blah blah blah". Losing weight and/or building muscle takes time, patience, and a bit of dedication, is all. Believe me, I know. I've done it.

5' 8", so I'm a little under US standards. Though pretty tall for my country of origin apparently. Actually, I've gotten over not being 5'10" or more, I don't know, I think once I passed year 21? And I know of shorter people who does not seem to be bothered by their height, either. Maybe the supposed "jealousy" and chips on the shoulder carried by shorter people is just a way for taller people to feel a little more superior?... Most people do mature and end up accepting who they are, you know?

And for those other shorties that do have jealousies, remember to always go fro the knees first. 6'4" quickly goes down to 5'2", then you can elbow or knee to the face to your heart' content. :D

i'm 5'6-5'7 too lazy to measure right now and i'm perfectly happy and comfortable with that.

/shrug

I didn't vote because I'm not a male nor am I mad. But no offense to anyone "short" (whatever short is) but there's nothing better than a tall boy. ;)

I'm certainly not detecting any bottled up height-related rage from your good self, that's for sure.

Ah, there we go. :p ;)

no offense taken ;)

i liken girls' appeal for 'taller' mean akin to me lusting after redheads rather than brunettes.

As long as you don't think we're any less of a man b/c honey, we make up for it :)

i am almost 6' 1" and i am only 15...i really would love to hit 6' 2" and i think i will.
BTW...i am very happy with my life, and i don't get jealous, i have a great girlfriend, a varsity track and cross country runner and i am a frosh.

Tehe. I'm 6' even. And likely to grow more.

My cousin's ex-boyfriend(granted, he's 15) is 5' even. We used to make jokes alll the time, like how when he proposed he wouldn't have to get down on one knee, when they made the first married kiss she would have to bend down to kiss him, etc. We had soo much fun.:D

I had a boyfriend that stood a towering 6'8 and he was a big jealous mo-fo. Though I think in general practice the angry short man syndrome exists.

I think little dogs have attitude problems too. Yappy little things - size compensation or something. woof!

Can't say I've ever noticed any particular correlation, though I don't tend to date the jealous type as I'm not monogamous.

As a tall woman (6'3 and still growing :S) most men are shorter than me so any guy who gives a toss about height isn't going to go near me anyway.

what a load of crap....

it is not the "short man complex" its the "I am a LoSeR" complex...

if you couldnt make a dent in this life, of course you'll be jealous...
other people's height is just an excuse to cover your own miserable life...

I am 5'9 and I eat 6'5 birds for breakfast.....:p

28" waist, 18" arms, lotsa money and confidence... do something with your life...be somebody....
then come and tell me if your height matters....pfff
