I guess you don't really compare phones much.

Really?

Let me start comparing then.

Currently i have S2. Here goes:

Screen: SAMOLED plus is nice for images but i don't watch stills on the phone. I do read a lot though. Now the resolution is a 800x480 which makes me zoom the text and the font looks terrible. On the other hand my old iphone 4 didn't even need zoom and the text was crisp. Resolution: Con for S2, pro for iPhone. Screen quality and size: Pro for S2, Con for iPhone. My pick: resolution as i read a lot.

Battery life: i get max. 5 hours screen on time despite a custom ROM and juice defender. I used to get well over 9 hrs screen on time on iPhone 4 with all kinds of mixed usage. I can get a separate battery but i don't like battery management at all. Con for S2, pro for iPhone.

Updates: my dad's iPhone 4 promptly got updated to iOS 5 with its cool features. While my S2 will not get ICS until early next year. Con for S2, pro for iPhone.

Music: i listen to music a lot. Using the iPhone and noise isolating headphones i had good music reproduction and amazing battery life while playback. On S2, the music runs ok but i hear the hiss if i raise the volume and that ruins it. Also battery drops far more than the iPhone. Con for S2, pro for iPhone.

Camera: iPhone 4 camera while being nice, gets beaten by my S2. Pro for S2, con for iPhone.

OS: there are too many things to list, but after using both i find iOS far more suited to my needs. Pro for iPhone, con for S2.

In the end I am leaning towards the 4S instead of another android handset. There i did my comparison for you. Those are my preferences.

.

THIS.

Even though when web browsing the S2 will display more content on a page due to it's bigger screen the text on it is blurry due to the S2's low resolution. On the iPhone 4/4S while it is a much smaller screen compared to the S2 the text it displays on websites are much clearer therefore not needing to zoom in...

Doesn't that help your cause though?

It IS always preferences. And until you try it you will never know if you like it or not.

Screen, I agree. Text looks better on iPhone, but that's it. Videos look bette ron S2.

Battery life: Battery life should last the whole day depending on what you use it for.

Updates: I agree, but that's Samsung's fault. You can also download it unofficially.

Camera: They're both great, no camera is better than the other.

OS: Android has more features than iOS.

Music: S2 has good quality sound. I don't know what you're talking about. :S

Some apps are iOS specific which is the exact reason I have sold the s 2 even though it was good

Ahaha. And there you just confirmed what i said.

You chose S2, i am going to choose 4S. Despite minor differences.

Preference.

Battery life: Well it can certainly last 1-2 days... if you don't use it that much. Talk about actual on screen time which is your actual usage, I can confirm max I got was 5 hours. And that was with background data sync off, brightness on low.

Updates: For the average user who doesn't want to do researching and update using odin and wants it straight from samsung this isn't very convenient.

Camera: I haven't tried iPhone 4S's camera yet. But I cannot fault the S2's camera. It was great, except its hard to keep steady when video recording.

OS: I agree that Android is more open.

Music: I don't like the S2's music player. And while I know there are other music player apps on the Market I didn't prefer having to pay for the actual good ones. I didn't wanna pay for iSync either.

Battery life: You are lying, probably. Most users get decent battery life: http://samsunggalaxysforums.com/poll.php?pollid=16&do=showresults

Updates: I agree.

Camera: I kinda agree.

OS: Indeed.

Music: Poweramp is by far the best and worth the price. Don't know why complain about paid apps if iOS is mostly paid ones.

By all means... Give S2 or Prime a try... And I mean a good 6-8 months...

I know you will be back... Just like me... :D :D

Dude... I'm lying? hahaha. I'm not lying.

Music: I complain because iOS has it better and it's already included.

Edit: That link you gave. Oh yeah no doubt. It can last 1-2 days as I said. But I'm talking on screen time... The actual time you're using the phone. It can be found in the settings.

Well, the Android OS was showing 6-9% which was normal. Some people who really had problems with things running in the background showed the Android OS was using 20-30% of the battery.

Do you have an S2?

I think if you don't root your phone, you can't unlock the potential of your SGS2

And no, Cousin has it and I try it out when he comes.

Yeah no doubt. You can unlock the true potential if you root it and try some good ROMS. Same can be said for iOS, can't unlock the true potential if you don't jailbreak it. It's just that straight out of the box, Android is more customizable than the iOS which is great.

When your cousin comes back go to his settings, battery and see what the ON SCREEN TIME, as I've been repeating, that is the actual length of time you've used the phone.

Will do.

i have been a devoted ip fan from day 1.. last month i got a HTC inspire to see what all the talk was about.. OMG i hated it. hard to use.. WAY HARD.. i wanted to smash the thing and promptly returned it. yea sure ok maybe apple is dumbed down etc etc and whatever else they say but it works with my macbook etc.. i doubt android would sync so well /easy with my apple stuff.

I have a MacBook pro iPod and iPad and an android everything is synced and simple.

HTC doesn't even have a sync software for the mac... It just has a sync for windows machines...

Ok? I'm telling you everything I need is synced though you can't argue that.

Which includes most of my iTunes library via isyncer.
