you guys are making it seem like ALL iPhone owners are impatiently waiting for the next iteration.

Chances are if you lurk here often, you're not Apple's demographic. Most users just want a phone that works that does email, messaging, web browsing, and the occasional game or two.

For the record, I am that "regular" iPhone owner - Apple's demographic. I don't know very much about technology, I'm a typical girl in my early 20's. I use my phone for the reasons you listed.

The only reason I am on here is because I am tired of waiting and want to know whats going on.

Well, you can't expect to find much here (it is a rumor site) - no one but Apple has any concrete information.

But at least you'll know about the leaks that come out. You aren't gonna hear about them unless you come to a rumour site. That's how I became a part of this community (the same as the OP). I came here not knowing anything about the iPhone, Apple's release schedules, etc. I used to only read the front page. Then I ventured into the forums and read, but didn't post. But slowly I gathered knowledge and created an account. Now I am a very active member and I contribute daily. But I (along with the OP, I'm sure) am glad I found this forum because it helps to pass the time with others who are waiting for the same thing you are.

Nothing going to be announced before end of quarter which is Friday. Next week has good prospects for invitations going out.

Not True 2 out of 4 were released in June:

iPhone September 2007
iPhone 2G February 2008
iPhone 3G July 2008
iPhone 3Gs June 2009
iPhone 4 June 2010

please don't comment on iphone release dates again.

Not true. iPhone 2G? I assume you say the updated capacity, that wasn't a second generation model. Also the first iPhone was released June 2007.

....there have only been 4 iPhone models. You doopid.

Those dates are stated here on MacRumors:
