By "artisans" they mean starving child laborers ;)

No seriously, their stuff is gorgeous. Wife has had two iPhone cases - original then 3GS. Great materials and workmanship.

Their iPad cases don't fit my usage needs or I'd have one in a heartbeat.

For starving child laborers they do good work.:D

whats the best clear hard case for the ipad? i want to get something like the hard cases that speck sells for the mbp.

Incase 10.2" Neoprene sleeve for netbook.

The iPad fits great in it, although there is a little wiggle room.

I wonder if that's the same one that is at Target, which was recommended earlier in the thread. I felt the one at Target lacked the padding that the Incase neoprene sleeve has for the iPad.

I waffled back and forth, and as much as it killed me to spend $40 on a neoprene case, I felt a little more comforable with the iPad one in the event I ever dropped it.

I don't think you could go wrong with either one, but I'm happy enough to say I'd certainly buy the iPad version of the case again.

I just got my Belkin Grip Vue (clear version), and it feels great! It also doesn't have a horrible plastic smell to it.

What I like:
1.) It gives me the feel that the iPad won't slip out of someone's hands.
2.) It gives me security that if the iPad gets bumped up against something, that there is enough protection, especially around the corners, to protect it.
3.) The clear plastic helps retain the iPad's native color scheme.

What I don't like:
1.) The only thing so far - the price. However, I'm willing to pay an extra $10 or $20 over what I would normally pay for something that isn't flimsy and will protect my iPad.

Here's mine....

I was contemplating that option as well, but I get these for free at work;

I just ordered this case (http://www.senacases.com/apple/apple-ipad-cases/ultraslim-cases/) in the baby blue today. It doesn't ship until May 5. I am going to use this for transport when I want something super slim that I can just throw into my purse, but I am still on the lookout for a nice folio or other sort of case that I can keep on the ipad but still use it.

I also liked the copper on this case, but I ended up going with the light blue.

Almost forgot... I got 20% off the preorder price for entering the code PCWIPINK11 in case anyone is interested (they have three other iPad cases as well).

I pre ordered the SENA also in brown leather my 2G iphone case is still in great condition and it's good stitching and soft leather.

Has anyone done a decent site, that reviews cases for electronics? It would be nice to see all the options on one site. Although reviewing aesthetics is hard thing I realize.

Having a hard time deciding between these 4:

http://www.senacases.com/apple/apple-ipad-cases/ultraslim-cases/#
http://www.hardcandycases.com/ipad-hardsleeve.html
http://www.goincase.com/products/detail/neoprene-sleeve-plus-cl57474/5
http://sfbags.com/products/ipad-cases/smartcase-ipad.php

Does anyone have any suggestions? Horror stories about one of these that would allow me to take it off the list or love stories that would put one ahead of the others? Would be much appreciated, thank you.

The InCase one is my favorite out of those choices. I don't know if you ever felt the interior of the sleeve, but it's one of the softest things you'll ever touch...

Are these available online anywhere? As has been mentioned in other threads, even the Belkin website doesn't list it. Or are people getting these direct in the Apples store? I guess I need to wait and see what becomes available in the UK once the iPad launches here.

Apple is selling them online.

I also had a hard time picking between the SF Bags Smartcase and Hard Candy Hard Sleeve and eventually ordered both.

I have got the Hard Candy Hard Sleeve and been loving it so far. You can check out my review of this case at this post - https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/904737/

My SF Bags Smartcase has not yet shipped. Once I receive it, I will decide between these two cases and return one.

Hope I did not add to your dilemma :)

If you go with a SENA case google the discount code you can stack another 20% off the pre order savings.

For me I use my ipad for business a lot and use my stylus for note taking/pdf annotation. Its amazing to me that most cases dont have stylus holders. Or even pen holders should you actually require one. This is what I ordered.

Could be better, but suffice for now.
