My response is almost word for word the same as this. I also have the Apple case and love it. I would get it and not look back.

+1 for the this black Apple case. Thin but sturdy, versatile (various ways to prop up the iPad), not easily marked up, nice grip. Very happy with it.

I think this case looks amazing. I'm a little concerned that the landscape stand could slip and make it fall flat. Nothing to prevent other than the gip of the case on the table. We'll see, i think it's on its way as we speak.

I also got the Apple Case. I'll either keep both or if I fall in love with one, return the other.

I got the Marware on order, but haven't gotten my shipping e-mail yet. I'll have pictures and stuff once I get it. I really wanted to compare it to the Apple case in person, but both Apple stores were out of stock when I went there today, and it's not a trip I can make often (an hour away).

I did some searching and checked out some of the cases offered in person. I ended up getting the apple case and I love it. All the other cases felt or looked bulky. The apple case keeps it sleek looking and I like the feel of the material. Fits nice and snug too which is a plus.

I bought the InCase Neoprene Sleeve Plus because I liked the color and I love my InCase Slider Bamboo case for iPhone. However, I’m sending it back in favor of the Timbuk2 Slingshot Netbook Case.

It’s $35 + shipping on their Web site, but eBags has it for $31 with free shipping.

I have two of Timebuk2’s other products, a messenger bag from like 2003 and backpack from 2006, that I absolutely love. So, I’m expecting big things from the Slingshot.

I roamed over 4 best buys today and all cases are sold out. I did see someone with their official apple iPad case and it does look sturdy but two questions...

Is it iPad "dock able"????

Also..

There's no screen protector on it right?

I'm torn between what cases to get. Just a few hours ago I was gonna get the incase black net book sleeve but decided against it and am gad I did after reading this thread,,,

No and no. However there is a thread on how you can cut an opening at the bottom of the case to allow it to work with the dock.

I bought the Belkin Grip Vue and I really like it. Its $50 so its not cheap but I think its the best case currently out for the ipad. It's clear so you can still see the device, the gel is hard enough to protect it very well but soft enough to be comfortable when holding it and it has a slight tacky feel for good grip. I use my netbook case to put it in when I'm going to travel and its a perfect fit, saved me another 50-60 bucks.

I have this same case, and I absolutely love it. It's very much like a Switcheasy Vulcan, or a typical gel skin. Not rubber, not hard plastic, not silicone... Flexible, with just enough tack to hold onto it. At $50, it's pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. Couple this with a netbook sleeve to travel, and it's the perfect combo!

I'm Impressed with that case I'm just hoping best buy will carry it. Along with a screen protector and perhaps a net book sleeve as you mentioned and I'll be set........

....though I keep visiting the website that is selling the custom made book cover for the iPad, you know the one where it looks like a real book and you can even put any title you want for the book, can't remember the name now but vie seen the link circulating the forum for the past few weeks.

i got the hardcandy bubble case (shipped yesterday), and a $5 skin off ebay....

ill post reviews when received...

I generally do not like cases or screen protectors.

I did buy an Apple case for my wife's iPad (which I am using until my 3G arrives). I have mixed feelings. It is one of the thinner and lighter cases but I still dislike the bulk it adds.

I took a quick flight yesterday to CA and back... and I used the iPad both ways without the case at all. I just slipped it into the "file" portion of my backpack. It worked fine.

My wife likes it better with the case. I think I prefer mine naked... but I might pick up some type of sleeve just to keep it in during transport.

I will have the Apple Case, and hopefully the EcoVue by the end of the week (of course won't have my 3G iPad yet ) I'll take photos and post impressions on them though when I get them.

Have you got an e-mail from Marware stating it's shipped yet?

I currently have the Incase sleeve but I'm still looking for something more book cover like. The Apple store was all out of their cases.

I got the Apple iPad case and the Incase Bookcase. I like the App,e case better. It doesn't standup as well. But it is a lot thinner. Incase is going back today

I'm leaning at getting this one:

Looks better than Apple's offering.

I actually bought that case and am going to return it. It's great for viewing and typing, but it's REALLY thick. If you try to fold the cover back on itself so that you can actually use the iPad in whatever orientation you'd like, either the side with the "stand" stays in "stand" mode (2 inches thick) or if you fold it over on itself, the cover is LONGER than the back of the iPad, so you've got about 2 inches on the opposite side of the iPad.

I really wanted this case to work, but it's way too thick for everyday use. It's a stand case...for your lap or to stand on its own for movies. There's practically NO WAY to use this case in portrait mode comfortably.

I opted for the Apple case. Pleased so far. The iPad is great...it's just hard to use without a case of some sort.

Ok, I got my Marware tracking number (finally). Hopefully, the product is better than the customer service. :p
