+1 for the Belkin case!

I originally got the Apple case and returned it the next day. I've found people either love it or hate it.

The Belkin is pricey in my opinion but I'm very happy with it so far.

I actually bought that case and am going to return it. It's great for viewing and typing, but it's REALLY thick. If you try to fold the cover back on itself so that you can actually use the iPad in whatever orientation you'd like, either the side with the "stand" stays in "stand" mode (2 inches thick) or if you fold it over on itself, the cover is LONGER than the back of the iPad, so you've got about 2 inches on the opposite side of the iPad.

I really wanted this case to work, but it's way too thick for everyday use. It's a stand case...for your lap or to stand on its own for movies. There's practically NO WAY to use this case in portrait mode comfortably.

I opted for the Apple case. Pleased so far. The iPad is great...it's just hard to use without a case of some sort.

Yep. Same case I'm taking back.

Is the Apple case the only one that allows you to prop it up laying flat, like a keyboard? I love having it in that orientation.

I'm going to opt for the Apple case, i think it looks really slick!
Coupled with my diesel shoulder bag that looks a bit like this:

If the dimensions on the specs page are correct it should fit inside. :)

I got the Marware on order, but haven't gotten my shipping e-mail yet. I'll have pictures and stuff once I get it. I really wanted to compare it to the Apple case in person, but both Apple stores were out of stock when I went there today, and it's not a trip I can make often (an hour away).

I was able to snag an Apple case after all.

My Marware Eco-Vue is enroute, so I will be able to compare both in person and provide a review of some sort.

So far, I've bought an incase Neoprene Sleeve for a 10.2" Netbook at Target. It was only $12.99... I guess it was on sale because I could have sworn the sign on the shelf said $29.99. The Apple Store is selling the practically the same thing (but with "iPad" on the packaging) for $40.

x2 - bought this one from the Apple Store for too much money, but its well protected and will travel well.

Landscape?

I laso bought the belkin grip vue but retuning it. It is so hard to remove when I want to use my iPad as a picture frame every night since it is not dockable.

Is it just me or does this photo make it appear as if the iPad pictured is in landscape orientation, meaning the "home" button and connector are along the long edge???

Tumi Alpha Small Flap Body Bag:

I've never cared for a man purse, but this one is a game changer for me. I always carry a duffle bag and or smallish laptop bag that looks similar, so why the heck not go for the man purse.

Thank you. The prices of cases and most other iPad accessories are outrageous. Even the Incase sleeves are ridiculously priced.

Agreed.

Check out places like Target or Walmart for netbook sleeves, they aren't charging the premium that Apple Stores are charging, and the sleeves are pretty much the same (slightly larger).

The incase sleeve that i got for $12.99 at Target is almost an inch longer and 1/2 inch wider than the official one sold at the Apple Store, but I think that's a good thing. When I get a case for the iPad, it will still fit in the sleeve without having to force it in.

My target store had incase net book sleeve for $29.99. The $12.99 sleeve was another company I had never heard of. I looked similar and was probably similar in quality.

You can probably blame the iPad accessory prices on the iPhone/iPods. When I had my iPod Touch, I couldn't believe how much they wanted for a boring plastic case.

Another vote for the Apple case. Love the function and the looks - already bring it to all business meetings. Although it has actually stopped most of said meetings since people want to look and talk about the iPad ! :D

Hmmm.... That explains the $12.99 price, but doesn't explain why the incase sleeve i got rang up for that price. I did see that it said $29.99 on the rack- I just figured it was on sale after it showed $12.99 when it was scanned at the cash. I already threw the packaging out.... Maybe a UPC from the cheaper brand somehow ended up on my packaging....

Absolutely. The iPhone/touch accessories pricing set the bar for the iPad.

I bought the Apple case but have been using it naked.

Have not even opened the package yet.

Anyone know if that belkin case fits the dock, i would not think so but just checking.

I doubt any of the cases will fit the dock. Even the Apple case won't fit the dock.

So why won't any case fit the dock? I don't have the dock or any case, but it just seems like it wouldn't be hard to have them fit...

In order for a cased iPad to fit in the dock, Apple would have had to design the dock with that in mind. The naked iPad fits the dock perfectly/snugly, so it doesn't wobble around while it's sitting in it. If Apple would have allowed space for a case, the iPad, as they designed it, would not fit into their own dock.

iPhones/iPod touches also do not fit into their dock if they have a case on them. If you want to dock a cased iPhone/touch, you have to take the case off.
