I put several of the lugs between my teeth and I’m convinced they are indeed metal
I actually tried the magnet with the plastic lug on the sports loop, the metal in the mechanism isn’t strong enough to grip the magnet through the plastic casing! Mystery continues…
I have the same combo, that sport loop always looks way bluer in pics than in person I find.

Nope, I bought and returned the phone case and watch band when they first came out (2018 i think..?) because it was basically just blue.
It always photographs really blue that band, when in reality is like a dark teal maybe.
For comparison below: Mallard Green, Lake Green, Olive, Pine Green, Succulent
Today's new band - Olive! This is definitely one where pictures and marketing photos don't do it justice. The colour is gorgeous, like a more muted, slightly warmer Pine Green. Passed up on this one when it was in the Apple Store, but got it for just £15 off eBay, delivered by UPS next day! Some great sellers out there in the UK.
This is my first Apple Watch (series 10, 42mm in Jet Black 😍), I love it! And the plum band too. It goes well with my purple sweater!
I already bought 4 sport bands and 1 leather link band for very cheap, those bands are addictive for sure.
@drunkaviator that olive band is on my wish list! In my country I couldn’t find one (yet!). I received a pine green sport band yesterday, totally different colour than I expected from the product photos! At first I was disappointed, but it goes pretty well with some clothes I have, so in the end I am happy with the pine green band.

The night mode on the black ultra is sweet. Apple really need to add night mode for the new Flux face..
Pine Green is regarded as a bit of a classic, and certainly one of my favourites. Isn't too far from Olive as you can see. Where do you live?
In the Netherlands. Here we have a webshop that sells a lot of discontinued bands, but olive green is sold out. I don’t know if such bands get refilled or that it’s sold out forever.
These are usually overstock/remaining stock. In the US, TJ Maxx and Marshalls sometimes sells Apple bands discontinued from S6-8 era. Even leather accessories that are now replaced by FineWoven, mostly for 40/41mm and new 42mm S10s.
Yes I have a very cheap leather link in sequoia green, in a closed (very damaged) original Apple box. So cool we can still find discontinued bands! And also for a much better price
Earlier this week I saw the old woven nylon bands in the Dutch webshop that has a lot of discontinued bands.
