Show off your Apple Watch

Congratulations 🍾 on your new Apple Watch ⌚️! You finally upgraded from your Apple Watch Series 5! If it’s a 42mm you can use your old 40mm bands on it!

Thank you!

Yes, it is the 46mm version and using my old 44mm white sport band from the AW5 for now. That other one from Amazon will be here next week.

I like the look of the Milanese Loop too but it seems a bit much for me on that daily. And, for some reason, when tapping complications (especially on the corners of the watch face) something feels wrong with that strap. Hard to describe but it feels like the watch face is "loose". It's an odd sensation that I do not like. My guess is this is from some recoil from the metal band. It doesn't occur when paired with the sport band.

Anyway, otherwise, very happy with this upgrade!

Which band did you order for your new Apple Watch? ⌚️ of course the Milanese loop can be a little tricky to get used to wearing it for the first few days. I do wear this band on my gold SS as a gold Milanese loop, especially on small wrists the larger Apple Watches will bulge around the wrist. Try not to over tighten the band as well; especially if you do not shave 🪒 wrist hairs regularly.

Any watch will work with your phone. S6 and up (incl SE2) are still supported and getting software updates.

S5 and older (incl SE) no longer get updates but work just fine.

So it all depends on your budget. I recommend checking out the Apple refurb store and the likes of eBay/etc
@MikeTaku I would like to ask you a few questions about finding the perfect Apple Watch to start with. First question did you try any Apple Watch on at the Apple Store and compare them with each other?

Do you like to spend time in the outdoors, go camping ⛺️ or fishing 🎣 a lot? Are you willing to charge your Apple Watch regularly throughout the day or sparsely once or twice every few days? Look no further to the all new black titanium Apple Watch Ultra 2. Even if you have large wrist or need the extra battery life besides it’s rugged and tactical look it is worth it. Even though the bold, black titanium Ultra is recently released the internals may not be the same as the Series 10, but it will stay supported in the long run.

If you have certain health conditions that you need to manage like oxygen tanks, sleep apnea or even go climb on high altitudes, note that you need to get an older generation Apple Watch model that was manufactured before mid January 2024. There are a lot of Apple Watch Series 8, 7 and 6 deals around Walmart and Amazon so look into that, there are also stainless steel Apple Watches in new condition for $200-$300 depending on band selection and size and you can also save money while getting the blood oxygen feature. You can even pair nicer bands with stainless steel Apple Watches ⌚️!

Thank you for the advice and I will keep all that in mind. The new band is actually a "used but like new" Soft Mint Sport Band from Amazon. They were out of the new ones in S/M. :( I meant to order it in the summer but that didn't happen.

I also want to get one for autumn. Maybe Lake Green, Denim or Plum.

Plum matches well with gold or natural titanium Apple Watch ⌚️ S10. Lake green is preferable to darker Apple Watch colors like black titanium Apple Watch Ultra 2, graphite, SBSS and jet black.

How do you get the time on your Modular Ultra face to not be white? I’m trying to replicate your color scheme but can’t figure it out.

I can only get it on Night Mode but pretty sure you’re not using Night Mode.

My Series 10, picked it up today, plum sport strap. I bought a S9 last week but decided to return it and get the 10 as it was only £50 more. Edited to say I returned this watch as I found it a bit unwieldy. Rebought the S9 refurb 🤦‍♀️

I'm left-handed, so watch on right. Effectively it's the upsidedown version incl orientation of the band.
Ohhh 😲 no wonder you just put it on your left wrist for the picture. The slate looks bold with the darker Hermes bands. Ever owned the green single tour before? These came with SBSS Apple Watch Hermes.

Thoughts on the Magnetic Link? I'm leaning toward that now. I don't really see many folks here posting it though.
I already have the Black sport loop to fall back on but still thinking which bracelet to get with the new Natural Titanium.
