Can I just ask, is there just one size classic buckle strap for the 42mm? Just got one and its not as long as the sport band.

Has anyone uploaded pics of the Space Grey sport with light brown and stone leather loops? Looking to get my watch in a few weeks. I know the one I like is the Space grey with black sport band but want a brown one too, just not sure which one. Pics please !

My expanding band collection. Brought the green a few weeks ago and arrived home to find the blue one in a box. My aunt had decided to buy it for me as a wee present! Got too say it looks stunning on the black watch! :D

Yes, the Classic comes in only one size. The holes in it extend further down the band length than the holes on the longest sport band.

A bit more info. I have a 42mm and both bands. I find that you want to have extra strap to tuck under sport band when you put it on. More secure that way since it's only held on otherwise by pushing the metal pin through the hole and would guess that's the reason for the band length differences. The classic band's traditional buckle is probably the most secure clasp to use on the Apple bands and as such you can use holes closer to the end of the strap to secure it with not much extra band length to tuck under the keeper.

How cool. I have the classic and sport and use 3rd party bands as well on mine. I switched to the sport today and have to say it just feels ultra comfortable on me. I'll definitely pick up a few more sport bands over time. I'm hoping we'll see some of the colors they showed off during the European promo events we saw here in the media. Looks like you are off to a great start and have a wonderful Aunt.

BTW the white band goes with just about everything (so much clothing has white in it and if you wear white tennis shoes/me sandles it coordinates well). I'm finding it easy to wipe clean and keep white.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I think you're right. I've got quite large wrists and have it on 5th hole from the end (not that big then). The leather feels lovely and soft. Prefer it to the sport.

I wear my Classic on the 5th hole for every day wear too and the Sport (longest band) on the 3rd hole from the end (when not exercising). Find that I get can get a heartbeat reading at both those settings. Sounds like our wrists are similar sized which falls into the Men's Regular length BTW.

I love the feel of the Classic and like it's minimal buckle that goes so well with the adapter portion. For hot weather during the day though I switch to something that will be less effected by sweating and oils if I'll be out in the heat most of the day (been high 90s-102 lately). Different looks between them for sure.

Yeah I think the red would look stunning against the black! Also, was thinking about a white. I think it would look good against black watch so will need to go for one of them next. Thanks for the tip.

P.s. The hardest to clean so far has been my black, it's always got little streaks in it. Not really bad and they come off, just always show up! I'll see how the blue one fairs but the green seems to be really resilient! Also, anyone know what they are made of? Because the black and green feel different. I'm not sure how, but they defiantly do!

P.s.s. Which watch do you have yourself? :)

Sport bands are made of a fluoroelastomer. They all are as far as I know. I don't have the black sport band just the black classic leather. I have read here about different issues some people are having with the black sport. Not everyone though. Possible I suppose that different manufacturers were involved in different batches and could explain maybe why some have issues and others don't. Sounds like Apple has taken care of people with those issues (like peeling of a coating?). It may be that in order to obtain a nice black color some of the composition is different. Just all conjecture.

I have the SS AW since I wanted more of a fashion watch to wear, also am older too so it was a more traditional look. Was concerned maybe with a first version I'd be better getting the sport to start off with but have no regrets. I haven't worn a watch in decades so was a bit concerned about if it was just going to be a fad with me. I do look at it as an investment in jewelry. I wear it everyday so know overtime it will be something that I will feel justified in spending the money on. If I was into jogging, etc. probably would have gone with the sport. Both watches have their advantages. I do love the all black look of the face and cases but stuck with the silver case. So many choices to make!

really loving to see the different watch faces and your styles of the Apple Watch. It is inspiring and I still love my watch everyday.
