Show off your Apple Watch

Hey cool! Always fun to add some spice to your life. The red and black look good together. You're one of a few I've seen post that puts the watch face on the underside of your wrist. What kind of protector are you using?

I have the Rugged Armor protector and I know it has saved my watch from damage. I have always (60+years ) worn my watch on the underside of the wrist. Tried this one on the top for a day but couldn't do it.

All black was the way to go for me!

seeing the SS models make me want to return mine before it's too late

Sean, you have had company making that decision to switch so go with what you feel works best for you in the long run and whether you want it more for sport/casual or everyday/dress. Also keep in mind the differences in the screen. IonX glass - will scratch without protection but not as prone to break. Screen will be brighter in sunlight. Sapphire - like the luxury watches won't scratch but if dropped is prone to cracking. Dimmer in sunlight. The SS can be polished to remove light scratches like other SS body watches. If you don't have or haven't thought about getting Apple Care+, now would be the time. Read some of the experiences people have had and do what you think is right for you. Most of all hope you enjoy using it which ever model you end up with.

If you have a store nearby I'd also recommend stopping in and trying on the SS for a little while. It is a bit heavier than the aluminium, and as such some people have preferred the sport over SS. It's something you will want to wear throughout the day into the night so comfort should be a concern.

Habits are hard to break especially after that many years. Have you had any issues getting your heart rate or using it for any of the tracking activities?

Not something my husband would ever think of doing but wearing the buckle topside, I could see switching out buckles occasionally since they will be seen more. Kind of like jewelry. I've switched a few of mine out because I didn't like the larger pre-v style it came with and it's pretty easy to do.

I like the silver aluminum with that LL band color. Looks taupe to me is that Stone? Sometime hard to know viewing on the computer screen.

Yep it's the stone leather loop! Liking it very much so far, much more elegant. The color changes a lot depending on the light, at times it looks almost brown, sometimes pale.

you just made me think about how I really use the apple watch. (thank you)
Ive been using it at the gym - wearing to work. ( work for an IT company) and weekends casual wear in Florida heat. So yeah I really do not need the SS esp if it's heavier - working out with it at the gym has been awesome esp with beats wireless. Today I wore my Rolex after reading your response and yeah I don't need the SS for dress when I have this watch. But I do like the look of the SS def not needed though. thanks for your input I really appreciate. I think I'd rather have a couple of more colored bands than spend 250.00 more on just one watch and one band.

Why do they make those bands so expensive.. Does Apple hate their customers? It's just a leather band. You can buy a decent watch for that money.

Anyways, I'm buying the blue leather loop. It looks great.

Yes it is. Very soft and flexible, even compared to the Sport band. To think that it's made just a few kilometers from where I live! Price could be a bit lower, but well... whatever.

Yes I will vouche I love the leather loop. Dresses it up a little (sport) but the damn price. Like u said I said the same thing ....."oh well "

Apple has us sucked in lol

How is that dock? I keep seeing it around for a good price, but I'm skeptical of the iPhone 6 support (esp. as I have a case) How do you charge the iPhone 6? Do you have to manually attach /detach the lightning cable each time?

I have an Iphone6 and it works like a charm. there is plenty of space even with a case.

I don't use the activities apps any. I am old and retired. Don't like to check my heart rate, afraid I might see that it has stopped.

ROTFLOL. With your sense of humor you'll probably live a long life Kodaker. I haven't added 3rd party apps yet but just recently started exploring the activities circles. Rather like them actually and it is getting me to want to make my standing and movement goals at the very least and to improve on the exercise ring. It does it in a nice way and I just may end up losing some weight and end up in better shape.

I have that dock. It's awesome. I have a 6 plus with a case, and it works fine. The lightning cable for the phone feeds up through the bottom and has to be connected to the phone by hand, but there's enough slack to make that easy.

Mine with my classic buckle, link bracelet and blue leather loop. Can't decide which one I prefer!

Visually my favorite is the link bracelet. It's the band I want most. Of course it's also the most expensive, and it's not adjustable during a typical day. So for now I have the leather loop and a sport band. One day I plan to get the link as long as I can satisfy myself that I don't need the frequent adjustability. It's just a beautiful band.
