Ordered the band on 12/2 but it didn't arrive until 17/2 and I picked it up and bought the watch on 19/2.
I will get a email sent off today

You've got at least 4 days for them to get back to you one way or the other then.

Hope they get it sorted for you. It's pretty ****** if they have policies that are us only, especially when things are already priced at a premium abroad.

This is the mine

From the MacRumours article posted last year on this topic, they detail "rules" for the policy:
  • The new band must be within the same collection as the watch and must be an available band option for that watch face.
  • The band swap is within 14 day return period.
  • The watch must have been purchased at the Apple Store, Apple Online Store, Kiosk, or Apple Store App.
  • You are not using band swaps as a way to configure a sellable product for a customer.

Thus you are technically not eligible for a band swap if you want to swap out a bundled band for an XL band, because there isn't a model sold with an XL strap out the box. This would contravene the second part of the first rule.

In other words, the band swap is designed for customers who bought one model and then decide they wish they had bought another. It is not designed for customers to be able to mix and match combinations they want at no charge.

However, I would imagine Apple will offer @H1JJY a goodwill refund because a) their customer service is normally pretty good, and b) he swapped out the band for practical reasons (the smaller band not fitting), rather than for cosmetic preference reasons.

I don't think the L/XL band existed at the time, it may be a different policy now :)

The reason I mentioned the time limit (and asked how important the saving was in a previous post) is that he could maybe return the one he bought already and get a swap processed in the Apple Store; hopefully customer services will be sensible enough to help out anyway. :)

View attachment 617370 View attachment 617371 View attachment 617372 Here's a Product Red version of the Apple Watch steel. Bought as the complete watch, not just the strap itself. I have several other straps including the Milaneese and link, but this one has a certain something about it. A silky smooth unapologetic and strikingly red hue. I love it and I love what it stands for.

I purchased the same configuration myself. I was originally going for the black sports band, when they were out of stock they told me they had the "red" one. They made it seem like a bad thing! As soon as i saw it, I knew I had to have it. It''s the band I use the most!

I LOVE that band!

There's something about wearing black bands with the black SS. It's as if the thing shines more. Wore the black milanese with it today. It was as if I had just picked the watch up from the store today. Pretty much the same thing happens when I wear the black sport band.

No picture this time. Just a thought :D

Good Idea. I don't have as many bands as you but this is my set up

I might be nearing the end of my band acquisition stage. At least for now. I think I'm getting close to 20 bands, and there are very few that I can think of that I actually want to buy.

When are we going to get new watch
faces?

Tonight...well, if it was up to me.

Could you share a picture and link? Looking a bit into this thing

I've come to realize certain things relating to this watch, that are black metal, don't seem to photograph well. It was hard to decide on the Space Black because of this. I was going to buy the black milanese, over a month ago, but it looked like nylon or some kind of very thin, luster-lacking metal. I was wrong. At any given time, I can look at it, while it's on my wrist, and the band has some shine to it.

I think Mickey is my go-to face for this combo. Love how it's as if he appears out of the darkness.

Looks great man - The Apple loop is a bit too feminin to my taste, but the black looks good - Think I'll try it out... If you like yours in regards to quality and design, could you share a link?
