I think the red dot is acceptable in this config, as there are only two colours on the watch body. I think it starts to get tricky when you have multiple different colours on the device.
(Before anyone asks, that’s not a scratch in the watch, it’s a rogue arm hair 😀)

I saw a gold with a blue band (my favorite color) and loved the combo. I haven’t seen your band in person but I want one.. that looks great!

Watch last Friday! Bought the 42mm space gray Aluminum with black Sport Band, also tried different leather bands and couldn't resist buying the Saddle Brown Classic Buckle as well...
Even though I think the leather band would look better with a slightly darker brown and a space gray clasp, I liked this one most of the current options. I hoped the store would still have the Taupe color in stock because I thought it would also look great, but I wasn't lucky.
I hope there will be more different colors for Sport Bands soon, like a yellow one, to get more color options. But for now I'm very happy with my choice 🙂

Apple did make a yellow sport band in the past, so you might be able to find one secondhand or from another retailer. Or it's always possible it will come back as part of a spring collection. It's not really considered a fall color.
I'd love to see more options for the Explorer face. I haven't activated LTE yet (though I did check with T-Mobile and I can activate it with my Simple Choice plan that has Music Freedom). But I still like the face. The signal-strength dots don't show up at all most of the time, and when I'm out of range of my phone it's just four unobtrusive dashes.
Perhaps, say, color matching the hands to all the past and present sport band colors as some faces can (utility and modular, for example). At least the color-neutral white and gray hands look nice when I'm not wearing any red.

Most people here in France (not all I must admit) do find the crown red dot very exquisite (me included).

White ceramic paired with Hermes Fauve Barenia single tour. Not everyone’s cup of tea but I like this “caffe latte” look ☕️
I was "ehhh" on the red crown initially but after seeing action shots (vs just the stock ones) it's grown on me. I like it.

Finally got my (extremely price gouged) Apple Pride band. Love it!
Also...as you see there, I was at 75% battery Friday at 6:05pm. I didn't have to charge it until this morning when I got the 10% alert. Over 2 days worth of battery!

I ordered this band thinking that it would be black but it has some pink/rose gold material which I did not like it. The band is comfortable but this band has nothing in terms of material. Long time ago I used to work in discount store and we used to sell velcro for $1 almost same size and it reminded me of that. I returned because of the color and because of material.

Yeah, that's why I tried to show the specks in my pic. I would prefer an all black band, but oh well. I love the feel of the band and the slight strechiness of the material. The sports band is uncomfortable to me so this is a big improvement.
