Who’s considering jump from series 4 to series 5? I am as I want to move to space grey or ceramic dark colored format. I still think my silver apple link will look fantastic. Defiantly going back to a higher end format this year.
I’ve been on the steel versions for both my S0, S2 and now S4.

Steel and sapphire is a must for me, to make it look and feel as nice as my mechanical watches, so I’ll likely skip S5 and go for S6, unless they can surprise me with functions or design I haven’t thought of yet

I scrolled a hundred pages of pics trying to figure out black or silver stainless steel to get. My bday is in a day so my wife is waiting for the decision.
I have 3 pieces of tag heuer and breitling all in silver SS. So I was thinking about black.
But I love the look of silver also
Any advice guys?
I will much appreciate.

I’ve had the black steel and now two silver steel. Both look stunning! Maybe the black a tad more stealth looking, but then again the silver a bit more stylish maybe.

The black steel has the big benefit of the DLC coating, that makes it almost impossible to make small scratches in.

The silver has the benefit of fitting 95% of the straps made for the watches - all the leathers and all the 3rd party bands often has steel adapters

But you ended up with SSS ;)
I’m not planning buying leather straps. I want that watches just for sports purposes :). So only silicon and nylon bands
Silver more stylish for sure
I still confused

Just picked up a 44mm SBSS. Haven’t bought a new band yet but I’ve been looking at the Clockwork Synergy options and pondering picking up a used Apple link bracelet. So far this is an awesome device, and it’s great being able to track my activities so closely!

*edit* excuse the picture quality. My phone is in the other room charging and the iPad isn’t great for low light pictures.

If you are a traditional watch kind of person do yourself a favor and do the stainless. It feels much more like a watch with the weight. I feel like the black looks good with fewer options. The silver stainless looks good with tons of different bands.

I have several bands not all pictured. Missing to photo a Blue Belkin and a Milanese in Black.

Here are some photos of my S3 LTE SB Aluminum 38mm that I've been using since past November.
1st Pic is Midnight Fog
2nd Pic Hermes Orange
3rd Pic a Milanese Blue that I found on Amazon. All very high quality. Both my Black Milanese and the Blue/Iridescent one.

My preferred type of band is Sport Loop out of these, I'm really looking forward HyperGrape Sport loop because it would look so nice with the Black S3 I have and because its a little bit more colorful than the subtend Midnight Fog. Still.... I think maybe it's not worth it to pay $50 for the band. For me the watch is a toy, I might get bored out of it soon, change to Samsung or want the next big thing when it comes so I have kept everything $250ish in watch and band.

Well after having had both, my S4 was in silver so that makes it two to one ;)

My favourite because of the style - looks amazing (also with sports bands which I use a lot during weekends and during runs)

I sold my S2 Ceramic when I bought my S4 SS. I miss that watch so much; wish Apple had released a S4 ceramic.
Agreed - although I feel the Series 4 stainless steel in gold is very nice as well, there is just something about the pearly white of the ceramic that makes it look special. :) Not to mention, the ceramic has a unique feel to it that is different from the feeling that one gets when touching metal.

This is my trusty Apple Watch series 2 (GPS) that I have worn more or less 24/7 since launch day 2016. Well minus 1-2 hours of charging during the mornings when I’m sitting at my office desk.

I’m considering upgrading it to a S4, or S5. Its still working perfect even after taking a sauna per week and 2-3 swims per week. The only hard decision is if I’m getting the SS or ALU model. Will the SS mode fare better with scratches? I have gotten the most of them from the swimming pool and some occasional “collisions” with a brick wall

Either way I’m in love with my Apple Watch. It even been more trusty then my wife, since it doesn’t have any mood swings
