It's not the woven fabric that's the problem, it's the lug design: the lugs are too short and the Braided Solo Loop needs a wider lug so that it has a smooth transition to the Watch.

That's likely what lead to the infamous pic of the blue braid with its thread tugged-out.
I have both at the moment, but looking like graphite going back...maybe haha. Tough choice right now.
