My grandmother has a Series 4 and it was doing this while on the charger. It kept showing the charging animation again and again. It’s almost like it’s connecting/disconnecting over and over again. It only does it intermittently but my S5 doesn’t, and my S3 didn’t either. Makes me wonder if it’s something with the S4?
My Series 4 does this with the Apple disc-shaped charger that was designed for the slightly-smaller Series 3 (and earlier) watches. The reason (for my issue at least) is that using the watch in nightstand mode with this smaller charger doesn't create a connection that's quite as solid as what I had with the prior watch. For those experiencing this issue, try charging it other than in nightstand mode and ensuring that the watch is making solid contact with the charger.

Right now I just have the Space Gray S6 (44mm Nike in SG) with the Obsidian Mist band. I do plan to add at least one more band (if not a couple) in the next month or so...

Is there a consensus as to why Apple stoped making these types of bands? In my experience they do get dirtier than any other band. I do love that they are less wide than any of the other Apple bands.
No idea to be honest, but would be interesting to know.
Dunno yet if they get dirty easier, but they‘re easily cleaned I‘d say.

I always assumed it had something to do with the pivot to focus on fitness over fashion. And the dirt thing makes me very paranoid about wearing them, as well as the unavoidable crinkling.

Yeah the woven nylons look great when new. But, they become worn looking faster than any other band I have owned. As you mentioned, they get dirty quickly and also fray around the edges where the band makes contact with tables etc. It’s almost impossible to keep a woven nylon looking nice for long if you wear it regularly. The sport loop also is made from woven nylon and frays. But the “puffy” weave on the loop makes that much less noticeable. I’m assuming that, and the fact that the loop is infinitely adjustable, is why Apple switched.
