Alright y’all - say bye to Blue-y. He’s been good to me but I’m replacing him with a SG S6. I know, it might sound crazy but deep down as much as blue is my favorite color, I’ve been wanting “that” watch to match with all bands, and I said from before the Apple keynote last year that I was going to get SG since I had gold at the time but the blue got me at the moment.

I know the S7 is coming out but with my small wrists the bigger screen will look like I’m from spy kids, so I think the S6 will last me awhile and I’ll be happy with it for a long time.

Anyways - get ready for more pics with the the SG watch as now I can pretty much pair it up with any band!

Is the band a subtle pink color? Is this an earlier generation OEM Classic Buckle, or something else? I have just bought a couple Gen 4s, and one Gen 3. I like this color, and haven’t seen anything like it, aside from white… Also looks like these aren’t standard SS connectors?
This is a demo/prototype of the 18k gold series 0 (2015) modern buckle. Someone told me they were used under the vitrine glass in store displays rather than real gold, although I think this one has the wrong color (retail would be rose gold).

It is a very subtle lavender, you can get it here:

Oh, duh. Modern buckle!! I forgot that those regularly have matching connectors. I’ve not warmed up to them quite yet. The buckle looks so large in photos. I might have to try one on in store one of these days.

Thanks for the link— I’ll add to the watch list future reference. :)

Great color!

Well other than the 18k ones from 2015 they only did three, during series 5. Noir, raspberry, and aubergine. I don’t think they did well. And you might want to hurry up, it stands to reason only the leather links will remain in the Chinese-leather lineup come September’s launch. The buckle is def big.

I’m really digging the classic buckles, which of course are long gone. Got the Electric blue (4th), Berry (4th) and Midnight Blue (3rd).

I’d like a yellow variant… anyone here have 3rd Gen Marigold and 4th Gen Sunflower and Spring Yellow to compare? I leaning Marigold only to even the scales on my generational coverage. I do like that oval smaller clasp. Which, is the polar opposite to the modern buckle, incidentally. hah

If I went for a MB, it would likely be the Noir. I’ve seen them pretty cheap, too!

Not sure I have any interest in the leather loop nor link… maybe Apple will debut another attempt at a more classic leather band this year…

What is this Noir modern buckle with gold hardware you speak of? I don’t think I have ever seen one and Bandbreite doesn’t have it listed either. Isn’t Noir an Hermes color?

I had all them at some point but sold two and only kept the Sunflower. Sunflower is very warm and has a slight orangey hue. Spring and Marigold were quite similar, actually, with Spring a little lighter and Marigold with a (very) slight greenish hue.

Edit: found a picture from @athousandbands which shows Sunflower (top left) and Spring (below left). Also pictured but unobtainable in the real world: Hermès Lime (below right).
