Series 6 Hermes SBSS with dark cherry braided. My favorite combo at the moment.

Lol greats minds. Haven’t worn my plum solo for a while and put it on this morning. S5 SSG. Getting a 45 Hermes on Friday so now I know what it will look like on that!

I am still liking the Nomad Sport Band, it is very comfortable and great for workouts.
It is my favorite combo of the Apple braided bands. It just looks sooo nice!!

Finally picked up a band from the Fall 2021 release. What else could it be but Dark Cherry? Beautiful fall color!
Question for those who have S6 era braided loops since this is my first: how much do they stretch out over time? Can they be shrunk back down in the washing machine? This loop fits perfectly right now but I am worried it will be too loose in a year. Thinking about sizing down.

I can’t speak from experience but I saw a post of a new braided loop next to one of the same size that was a year old. The old me had stretched quite a bit.
But Dark Cherry is amazing. I picked up the sport band.
My almost 1 year old braided is now too loose. It was perfect by the time I bought it. Now the watch moves around.

Wow it’s unfortunate to hear all these things for such an expensive band. Fitment isn’t great in the lug and stretch issues. That’s too bad, and confirms my gripe even more. It’s been hard for me to get into these as I think they’re honestly overpriced for what they are.
The proof: graphite is one year old, bought it with the S6. Dark cherry is obviously new, and my last one of this type.
the difference may seem minor but if the braided fits you, that extra length is like 1 size bigger.
I buy my braided loops one size smaller than my silicone loops on purpose. I like that I now have a few stretched ones and a few still tight ones. I wear the stretched ones on hot days and really still enjoy them a lot. Even if I wear them on cooler days they are not loose to a point that would annoy me. Of course on hot days the normal nylon sport loops are just as good and are only half the price. I try not to buy too many of the braided solos but in general I really like them for their comfort.
I usually wash them manually, but havent tried a washing machine. Any brave one?
A while ago I bought a used Braided Solo on ebay which was my regular size but turned out to be stretched out quite a bit. You can absolutely machine wash these bands and they will shrink back to some degree, but not quite to the original size; this may depend of the amount of stretching done, of course.
All my other Braided Solos (that I bought new) fit just as tight as on the first day, mainly because I rotate between many different bands, but also because it is quite easy to put the Solo bands on without really stretching them. Insert one side, gently clamp the Watch between your wrist and e.g. your upper thigh, insert the other side. For taking the band off, just flip the Watch on the wrist (so the display is down) and push the release button.

Don’t do this with the rubbery ones, the material is too thin and will be gashed by the watch, at least a steel one, while it’s being twisted.
Not in my experience, no. It helps to stretch the bands a tiny bit while sliding in and out.
Has anyone on here had issues with the rubber solo bands stretching out anyway?
I can actually attest to putting the same one on and taking it off every day and it seems the same and came to me heavily used to boot.
Excellent question! AFAIR Apple only put the stretching caveat in the description of the Braided Solos.
