It’s really not some mystery, I think we can put this issue to bed and satisfy our very special visitor.

41mm s7 stainless steel with modern buckle = 799USD
41mm s7 Hermes bleu lin single tour = 1249USD

for $450, you get a sport band, a better leather band, an extra year of warranty, and the faces, whose typefaces are wonderful; probably also much better resale value on the watch itself because of said faces

Sorry I haven’t been keeping up with this thread. But here are the comparison in Australian prices

AW S7 Stainless steel 45mm with leather link: A$1,189

AW Hermès S7 45mm with gold swift single tour: A$1,969

Difference = A$780

You can't compare it to an aluminium wifi base model. You would have to compare it to a cellular stainless steel model with an expensive leather band plus extra sport band, extra warranty and extra watch faces.
Uhhh……why not. It’s materials. Just saying, someone said they weren’t a grand more.. They are

You need to compare Apples with Apples. The statement was „a grand more for some additional watch faces“.
If you compare it with base Aluminum models, you also get higher quality case, sapphire crystal, cellular. So that comparison isn’t right at all.
Therefore you need to compare it with a stainless steel watch…

Now that is ‘HOT’!
Thanks! I’m digging the brushed modern rustic vibe of the titanium against the creamy, smooth, bumpy leather link. The shape of the bumps reference the profile of the watch so it carries the design language around your wrist and through different materials. So well designed.
