First time purchasing the Titanium Edition (7). I always dismissed it as similar to aluminium but I was greatly mistaken. It is very sophisticated and almost has the same versatility as the SS (except metal bands). It has a slight goldish hue in certain lighting. Only thing that concerns me is the coating and how it will dealt with micro scratches..

That looks great!

I came close to ordering natural Ti this year. I was a tiny bit nervous about scratches and the coating. The delay in shipping pushed me over the edge on just going with my usual silver SS.

You can buff them out. I use a special “Ti refinishing pad” but I’ve heard tell you can just use a Brillo pad.

Have you not noticed any difference in the coating? I’m not too concerned with finger prints. I more wonder about the stain protection that the coating is supposed to provide.

I wear the same as on the right. Very nice.
It’s such an impressive assembly. The graphite ss is borderline unbelievable in how versatile it is. Knowing it’s super scratch resilient and rocking the sapphire crystal means you can count on it looking incredible as day 1 with just a simple wipe down. The strap is a stunner. The online images don’t do it justice. And of course the tight adherence to the design vocabulary through the complement of accoutrements. It’s probably the best pairing I’ve come across, for any materials pairing combo, for series 7 (excluding Hermès).

It’s my bf’s watch, so I’ve barely ever even strapped it on and can only comment on how it looks for a few seconds after I’ve raked it.

The refinishing does leave the surface looking a little different, sure, but anything is better than the gashes imo. Not sure about stain protection specs.

45mm SS Graphite 😇

I really like the Titanium but now have a Gold pro max arriving next week no choice in that (Silver is delayed till December) and the carrier upgrade offer was to good to pass. Need to decide Gold or Titanium watch; I like the titanium a lot but the mismatch with the gold phone bothers me 🙈

Looking at this photo you will have a tough time deciding. Gold is amazing, however that titanium lustre is just incredible!

indeed! No one really knows yet if Apple improved the coating / scratch resistance on the Titanium 7. My SS Gold 4 was in immaculate condition for 2 years before I passed it on. Also wondering if my classic buckles from my S2 would look okay with the Titanium (silver lugs)? I also like that the edition watches come with an extra year of warranty.

I’m pretty picky with lug matching and I fully support steel on Ti. I mean Apple is now selling Space Black watches with silver lug Hermes bands…the inhumanity!

You know what you are absolutely right. Just thinking about it now keeping the gold SS7 would 100% rule out me using my classic buckles. My Gold pro max will be in a case anyway; I’ve ordered the Golden brown and Green leather cases so should match up with my titanium bands. I’m almost 90% now on keeping the titanium and returning the Gold watch!

I can't understand why I'm ok having multicoloured plastic lugs with nylon going through it, but would go mad having silver coloured metal lug matched with my graphite watch. Funny when you think of it that way no?

Interesting thought experiment…is it the fact that it’s plastic and not reflective? Or the vibrant colors (although for example obsidian mist is fine on DLC watches)? Or just that we know the “right” lug is out there. I guess the buckles also offend.

Though I do have some space black lugs on a Ruby Classic Buckle and can ignore the silver buckle. Ditto the gold lugs I put on a Navy Hermes…though if someone wanted to spray the buckle with gold, I’d let them…

All good points, we just don't like mixing metals I guess, I envy those who don't care about the mismatch. I am luckily very much in my solo loop world so don't really suffer too much haha 😂

Pictures don't do the SS link bracelet justice. So happy. I've been wearing an AW since launch day in 2015 and this band makes it feel just as exciting as the first time I put an AW on my wrist.

I wore the black version since launch day back in 2015. Didn’t mind the colour slowly wearing off but the closing mechanism finally broke and that part isn’t available as a service item. If I ever get one again I’ll grab the silver version I think.

SB Titanium and Graphite SS, both 7s. Golden brown leather link is such a pleasant mix of bold and natural tones!

I meant to ask if you notice any appreciable difference in weight between the SS and Titanium. I debated between the SB Titanium and Graphite SS, but ultimately ordered the SB Titanium hoping for a lighter watch. Both are absolutely beautiful. I’ve got a long wait (first week of Dec) though.
