Towards the darker finish of the room it gives off a darker finish and towards the outdoor lighting it gives off a lighter finish due to its high reflection characteristics like Silver it picks up a lot of light. SBSS is so black that it doesn’t pick up light as much which keeps it looking dark all the time.

Aha, I can see it now in that top pic.

Graphite SS is
Being a SBSS fan Graphite definitely satisfies and actually not even looking back. I love how it can go from really dark looking to lighter looking based on lighting. It’s like SBSS with more character. Oh and Midnight Leather Link.

The shine on this one really is pure 🔥!!

Yep. The case has a clear coating on it.
I have to say that I would hesitate to use something as coarse as one of those scrubber pads. In traditional woodworking with finishes one buffs a surface with an extremely soft cloth to create a luster. I learned the technique when I took an art class working with natural materials. I was surprised by the pronounced effect which a soft cloth can have on a hard surface. Not sure whether this would apply to this alloy, but since it seems to scratch so easily, I would test it with a kind of chamois cloth. There won’t be any danger of scratches to your screen, and pro (maybe) less wear of the coating.

That Is the graphite? wow, it looks so bright! It really is amazing how this finish can reflect light and appear bright/light or dark, depending upon the ambient light. That seems like it could dress up or down nicely. 😀 There’s a stone, hematite, which is a metallic silvery-grey, and reminds me a lot of this color (at least in photos—I haven’t gone to see the watches in person yet). Just ordered my stainless steel silver Oct 25 or so. Now, I have to wait until mid-December for delivery. Sad face.

The SB TI looks excellent with the SB stainless link band! Have you had the band for a while, or did you just get it for this watch? I’ve always wondered how well the finish will hold up against friction on the underside where you (I) rest your arms against a desk or table. On the silver link band, you can’t really see the scratches (or you could polish them out); but you don’t have to worry about revealing a different undercolor.

Where did you get that band!? I love that color. Is it an Apple band, or third party?
I only wear/collect genuine Apple bands :)

Ultra Violet was sold in fall of 2017, is now quite hard to find and therefore also quite expensive now. It‘s really unique in color ;-)

Got it from a fellow band nerd for a reasonable price, I was looking for one for quite a while.

Awkward wrist position, but trying to get some color to show up. My new 45mm green aluminum gps+lte. Upgraded from series 2 stainless. Put on the full body armorsuit before I even activated the thing. Waited about a day for it to dry. All ready to go.
