So I finally caved and decided to try out a Series 7 through Amazon. Battery life seems amazing so far, I did a clean startup with no backup in hope it helps.

Quick question to the owners - those of you with high battery health still, what charging habits are you maintaining? I want to avoid charging it nightly as that seemed to really hurt the health of my Series 4.

My S7Ti is at 100% battery, I just charge it overnight and take it off the puck in the morning. Its not fast charged or anything. If I am not wearing it that day, I turn it off and swap to another watch. It was at 100% a few months ago and still to this day (prior to my acquisition of another watch to swap to). Generally have 50-60%ish by the end of a 15hr day which includes at least 30min of exercise.

Very interesting, making me wonder if my S4 battery was defective as that degraded so much faster than anyone on here reports!

I feel like 10% a year is normal…and the smaller the battery the faster it will go, right?
Yeah I retract that after hearing from an S5 owner seeing similar in two years… Okay, my usage case of one watch every single day experienced 23% numerical loss since September 2018 (in 44 months / 3.6 years). But it’s the usage values I was interested in when someone says “I get between X and Y” it seems to be more. Perhaps it’s less scientific.

Whilst not enough to make a conclusion, I’d be concerned if I experienced 10% a year. Perhaps “Less than 10” is a good generalisation as normal?

This might be my favorite. I love all of the 2018 woven nylone.
I've always picked 2016 as my favorite just because I love how smooth the gradient is, but I think this year's Pride bands have a chance of changing that. I'm waiting to buy them just because they're year long and I'm sure they'll show up on eBay for cheap later, but I really like the Nike Sport loop this year. I'm yet to see them in person.

Maybe I’ve just been too influenced by the consensus against 2018, but the background color just disappoints compared to the product marketing image. I was comparing again today and I’d love if it was darker irl, and maybe more color to it (the bg).

But yes the stripe style is the best. Check is a close second, if only because the execution/colors have a higher batting average for the stripeys.

I’ve never understood why they designed this version with the two orange stripes! Its unbalanced-ness makes it my least favorite Pride band.
I guess balancing it with a (necessarily dark) indigo stripe between blue and purple/violet didn’t work? And all the plastic is red so it kinda wraps it all together. Also not sure I would call that second stripe orange.

Thanks for the close up. I don’t have the band, so I was always going by Apple renders or more distant shots, in which stripes 2 and 3 came across as sometimes two oranges vs two reds. But inspecting the close up, it’s more like:

Red
Reddish-orange
Orange
Yellow (darker)
Yellow (lighter)
Green
Blue
Violet

So to me it reads weighted as more

RRoO YY GBV

than

ROYGBIV

And also always just odd to me since the classic Pride flag is

ROYGBV

(just like the Pride 2020 sport band).

The classic pride flag is actually the Gilbert Baker with hot pink first and then turquoise later on, which I just learned from some Nike shoes. Apparently the “classic” is some watered down corporate crap.

But you’re definitely onto something. It was the first time I looked at the 2019 closely because I’m using the color-by-color editing tool and I was def like what is that second stripe?!

It’s much easier to clock with a photo than irl.
