Here's an S7 Natural Ti, polished with a CapeCod cloth, and then a Blitz polishing cloth (I also went over my seven-year-old stainless steel link with the Blitz cloth as well) ... I think the Ti looks fantastic with a polished finish. It's not quite as bright as stainless steel, but you probably wouldn't notice unless you had them side by side.

Looks great! Can you take a few more pictures, especially of the side with the crown? I imagine polishing that side was a bit more difficult/delicate?

Yeah, that side was tough. And the Digital Crown is not made of titanium (neither is the button) so they don't polish to a reflective finish like the watch case does. 😭 I'll take pictures later and post them here. Might take a day or two before I have time ...

Interesting I wonder what the finishes of the button and Digital Crown are then?

I have a new favourite combo. These two colours (light purple and light blue) really compliment each other very well. English Lavender Sport Band, Titanium Apple Watch S6, with the Sierra Blue iPhone 13 Pro.

Outdoors, on a summers late evening.

Here's a picture of the button side. It turned out OK, but there's a 'zone' around the Digital Crown about 0.5mm thick, where I couldn't polish it very well. I might have another go at it, but TBH it doesn't really bother me because I never see that side (lol) and that side ends up collecting fingerprints and smudges, anyway.

Awesome! 🤩

This — i.e. a mirror-polished Watch that is lighter than the steel versions — would be my ideal Watch, I think. If you don’t mind, please keep us up-to-date how the new finish holds up over time!

Yeah, will do. And I totally agree - I missed the shine of the stainless steel cases when I got this Ti S7, but I like the reduced weight of the titanium. Polishing it to a mirror shine checks both boxes, and I also kinda dig it because it's unique. I see lots of Apple Watches in Tokyo, but very few stainless steel models and probably none at all that titanium but polished to a mirror shine. 👍🏻

That looks great with the link bracelet. The titanium as it comes is just slightly off with it, I think.

I appreciate the brushed look over the shiny look because it’s more versatile for bands. When I wear my SS with a sport band it just seems to clash to me. The brushed Ti is more versatile in that respect.

Curious, what made you ditch the F7? I currently have both and trying to decide which to sell.

this makes 3 of us. Have had many Garmin's and many AW's. About every 6 months I find myself looking over the fence. Currently have an AW7 and F7.

Love the battery life and Connect features of Garmin. But also all in on Apple ecosystem and like the appeal of getting the most value out of Music, Fitness+, the Health app, etc.

Fence sitting for now but waiting to see how the AW8 rumors play out.

I loved the battery life of F7 ,but mostly I love the apple eco system. One think disappointed me with f7 - spend so much for high level sports watch and the glass is easy scratched, I had 6-7 marks 1 very big one on my, I am sorry but is double the AW price and the quality is not what I was expected, also the Bluetooth issue is still on since F5 ( cover the watch with hand and the connection is dropped). In past years I had f5 and f6 also for 6 months each but always coming back to AW . Just the eco system that's what keep Apple on top .

I am exactly the same, I jump back and forth every 6 months or so. Had a Fenix since the 3 but can never decide. Yeah, hopefully they extend the battery life on the AW8.

If they can somehow get 2x battery life, that would be awesome. It will take a miraculous breakthrough for them to ever get near Garmin Fenix territory. It’s a frustrating trade off. I’m always tempted by the Fenix, but I fear I’d miss the right integration too much. I think I’d be ok if I could at least have the amount of control that Android has with Garmin.

Yeah, don’t see Fenix batter life ever on the AW. Both definitely have their pros and cons.
