Will Apple cover your watch since you’ve polished it to a mirror finish?
Absolutely. AppleCare doesn't cover cosmetic damage, and since this is a purely cosmetic change, it's irrelevant. Also, it would take about ten minutes to restore the brushed finish, so I could always just do that before having it serviced.

With this and other watch faces alike, it makes the hour and minute hands look like they're physically there, rather than digital :)
Metro is just such a gamechanger, how did it take this long?

Even changing the length and shape of the numerals really makes me feel like I’m making a custom watch face.

I’m just never gonna know the date ever again. Worth it

Just add a date complication ;)

I like it, but I don't like how it doesn't show the numbers on AOD. The way my brain works, it always takes a second to figure out the time without numbers.

I could give up Mindfulness since I mostly do them on Fitness+ these days but having it there is still…aspirational?

A little midnight-graphite-midnight action... and yes I wiped the M2 down with the Apple polishing cloth to get rid of all the nasty fingerprints before I took the shot 🤣

Yeah, that's probably not going to happen for a very long time. I just got the watch looking the way I want it!

It’s just my curiosity honestly because I don’t believe it can be restored after being polished and I’d love to see the result of trying to restore it back to original. One can only wonder, what matters is that it is how you like it!

I kinda wanna see an artful radial Brillo-ing
Well I'm pretty sure it can be done - I polished my stainless steel link band a few years ago to a mirror shine (didn't do a perfect job but it was decent) and then went back to a brushed finish using the scouring pad from a dollar store kitchen sponge (and later, a graphite eraser for touch-ups):

Polished (2019):

I'll probably re-brush this watch when I get the battery serviced, though. Since the battery health is still at 100% (can't be accurate, lol!) it will likely be a while.

I believe it, the s7 got a boost for the indoor AOD brightness. And did you install the beta? That adds 4% in my experience
