Always amazed how many of you choosed the Hermes watch. 😳
The faces/typefaces are worth it, especially buying secondhand…perhaps you don’t get it til you have one. I got one kind of by accident (wanted a band) and had my mind changed as soon as I had it in hand.

I’ve always gone with the stainless steel models. Now, with the cost of living crisis I’m thinking my next upgrade will be the cheaper regular model. Has anyone gone from SS to the regular and if so had any regrets?

OK, last picture for a while. lol

I just got a new band in the mail and I think it looks pretty nice with the gradient background Modular face from watchOS 9.

Between this and my Blue Orbit/Gamma Blue, though, I think I prefer the other one. The accent color on this band really pops - maybe a little too much. 😐

I don’t know what’s hotter, the weather or these watch faces!
I’m so glad they are adding numbers to more analog watch faces. It‘s odd but when I use the analog watch faces w/o numbers, I like the look, but my poor brain at some point is always daunted by the doubting, what # does that mean? Etc. w/o the numbers there. Looking forward to the update.

Nice pics, and impressive you can keep the band looking sharp for so many years. I have “only“ 3 bands so far but, after using a Fitbit for years, I can already tell these Apple Watch bands will last a good long time, at least I hope so!

Yeah, the sport bands (and Nike sport bands) tend to look good for a long time, if you take care of them. And I rotate bands quite a bit, depending on the season and what I'm wearing. Lol

For sport bands, I maintain them by washing them with hand or dish soap once or twice a year, and then dusting them with baby powder (it works with natural rubber, so I figured synthetic rubber - flouroelastomer - would work, too).

My stainless steel link band is over seven years old now, as well - but it looks brand new. For that one, I just remove scratches by going over it with a graphite eraser every six months or so, and then wipe it down with a Blitz™ polishing cloth. You can see it here:

If anything, I think it looks even better now (seven years old!) than it did when it was new.

Edit: maybe this picture shows it a little better:

Good tips, thank you for the details about that maintenance. And yeah the stainless steel band looks fantastic too!

Another improvement from Fitbit bands I’m learning about, is how it’s really cool they have changed the screen size of the Apple Watch over the years and yet all the bands for 6 (7?) years now still are interchangeable with each other.
If only that were possible with iphone, ipad, and macbook chargers, too, haha.

Only on series 7 can change the background for this watch face?

I tried it once and ended up selling and getting SS again very quickly. I found it really hard to go aluminum after being used to the sapphire and steel.

Looks great! That’s the color solo loop I intended to get this spring, but it was sold out. I ended up going with Nectarine, but I may still look for a Eucalyptus at some point.

I hear you….I grabbed the Nectarine a couple of weeks ago. My first solo loop band. I had to get another and picked up the Eucalyptus. Love this style over the sport band.
