Woah!

Serious question: Do you collect bands, because like the colours, or has it become more of an obsession?
It started as the colors, then it became deal obsession, and then I got so close to complete I had to be like “hey chargerstore let’s just add those last five not-so-unique colors to my next PayPal order.”

There’s some element of just needing to have first-hand knowledge of every color and how they relate. I keep expecting the new biannual haul to not spark joy and the fun to feel over…but nope.

I was expecting to regret getting all 22 International sport loops…couldn’t have been more wrong with that prediction!

I’d like to get the Great Britain sport loop, but they’re not available now.

That makes me think: Making the straps “seasonal” adds the FOMO factor to buying them.

I love the Sunglow yellow, and think it’s the nicest shade of yellow solo loop to date. Which is why I had to get it, before it’s too late.

See, FOMO (agree?)

View attachment 2129392I love my Apple Watch, but I’m close to getting one of these.

Have any of you had a Santos?

Reckon I’ll miss the smart aspect of a smart watch?

I have had the pleasure of using an all silver and not two tone..same size large with date compilation..it's very flush to the wrist and offers a very unique wrist presence. The Santos is one of a kind and when you see it, you know what it is. I am more of an Omega snob lol

My go to mountain biking band...literally forget I am wearing a watch. It is beyond comfortable.

Hard agree. I have my employee friend order all the solo loops and BSLs when they drop because it’s just impossible to get those later down to the last one. Especially outside the USA.

I will say we *did* get a cheap drop of all International Sport Loops, but UK eBay only. And your local band should be easy to get regardless. Assuming you’re in the UK?

To be honest, I’ve never really been a watch kind of fella.

For years I’d just use my phone to tell the time.

I had a nice Gucci watch, many years ago, but I just liked the design.

The Santos, however, is (to me) the most beautiful watch ever made. I dislike Rolex, as they are just too chunky for my liking.

The two tone Santos is stunning. I’m a platinum/silver lover (colour wise) but I think the two tone Santos just oozes class/style.

I’d have to be very careful not to get too drunk, though, as I’d be a walking, talking mugger’s pension scheme!

Speaking of size, I wear the smaller 41mm Apple Watch. Therefore, do you think I would be better with the medium, or large Santos? I really would prefer to have the date on the watch, but I don’t want it too look too big/clunky on my 160mm wrist.

I love the fact that the Santos was the first ever wrist watch.

Thank you for taking the time to respond, and I wish you well.

Wow, you really are into this!

Ever thought about designing your own band/s? Or maybe start a YouTube channel?

Seeing as you’re so enthusiastic about Apple Watch straps, maybe Apple would employ you in some capacity?

And yes, I’m in the U.K. I may have a look on eBay, to see if I can source a Great Britain loop.

Decided to keep the Graphite and hop on the 3 watch lifestyle (GrSS, SBTi, NaTi)

They all offer unique combinations with my band collection. With the proper Watch finish some bands just come to life!

Nice looking watch. 👌 Are you finding that there is enough difference between the GrSS and SBTI? Can you give a couple examples of when you'd wear the GrSS over the SBTi?

From your lips to Cupertino’s ears.

I don’t think they think about softgoods once they’re EOLd tbh.

Juan and Only is so “good” at band YouTube, I’ll let him handle it.

Yes there’s definitely a significant difference. While both being dark watches, the shine vs the matte give the watches each a completely different vibe. Both beautiful in their own aspect.

The SBTi has a very dark gray brushed matte finish that is absolutely stunning. The GrSS is a dark shiny chameleon that changes based on lighting. Sometimes aiming more towards SBSS and sometimes aiming more towards SSS. Definitely an awesome unique finish!

In my opinion wearing any BSL with SBTi just doesn’t look right because of exposed metal from the band to me clashes hard with the matte black (dark gray) and doesn’t look right (thanks to my OCD) except for Black Unity BSL which in my opinion is the best match with SBTi.

GrSS looks great with BSL because the exposed metal blends really well with it.

I tend to prefer the Ti finishes with Nike sport bands. As I’ve gone through my Nike Sport Bands collection, I’ve noticed some work best with SBTi and some work best with NaTi and some don’t even look right with SBTi lol

Having all 3 of those finishes allows me to give any band in my collection an ultimate combination. Also GrSS to me satisfies on the SS shiny watches, as I’m not a gold person (even though OG GSS and NüGold are beauties) and SSS to me is just too blingy (NaTi satisfies for me for a light watch)

I wanna see Maize BSL on SBTi, still

Thank you so much for this detailed reply, It's really helpful. I was in the Apple store today and the Silver SS just didn't get my juices flowing. I do like the black AW's though.

I have an Ultra, but I am considering getting a S7 black watch. I don't NEED it, but I may get one anyway. I'm sure you understand as you have 3 AW's now... 🤣

Thanks for the great feedback.

What would you lean towards more? GrSS or SBTi?

Pride sport band on my ultra! This was my favorite band with my S6 but I had 40mm and sold the band with the watch. My watch is not cutting off my circulation nor is it too close to my hand to be comfortable, I actually loosened it by one hole and pushed it up my arm a little before taking the picture. My watch normally settles closer to my hand and it’s comfortable, but this position isn’t bad either, it’s just weird to have it far from my hand.
