why do people sell there watches?

It's not like I care what anyone does with their watches but, Why sell your watch? I look at all of my watches as an investment, some are worth nothing and i like them because they have character. A few have value and I could make a profit if i wanted to sell them. To sell your watch to buy an :apple: Watch that won't be worth anything down the road is ignorant IMO.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date circa mid-1980s. Gift from my grandfather on my 18th birthday. The Rolex looks great but is in need of almost $700 worth of service (needs new oil and a new crystal). Decided to hold off on the Rolex service and order a 42mm SS link instead.

I wear the Rolex 24/7 and haven't taken it off in over a year. It'll definitely be a change having to charge my watch every night.

Show us your current watch...

I love all 3 of these watches: Burberry Heritage brown leather, Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonphase (given to me by my wife as an engagement gift) and Burberry South Pole Expediton. I get compliments on all 3 often. I will still wear my Omega on special occasions and out with wife. Not sure about Burberry's.....

I've got a Cartier Tank, Large. It's actually a pretty good real life analogue to the Apple Watch! Love square faces.

Seiko coutura. Love it. No need to adjust for odd number of days in the month and leap year. Has kinetic mechanism for winding. Only thing i need to adjust for is day light savings.

From the top of Haleakalā to the Berlin Wall to safari in Kenya this has always been on my wrist. But she don't send no creepy emojis, so she has to take second chair now. :apple:

Here's my dilemma. I really like my watch. It will be tough to replace it with the Apple Watch.
