Sorry guys I'll get back to you with better pictures next time
The cables look quite ugly indeed ..

Here's mine:

2011 MBP hooked up to it.

My desk wasn't cleaned before this! I always keep it spotless, at the end of every day I throw away anything on it that doesn't belong there. Keeps me trained ;)

Hidden underneath are 2 GTech 3TB disks for storage and back up.

Looks like "The Slender Man" is in your iPad.....

Herman miller Mirra is a great chair. One of the best thing's I've bought, after sitting on a leather thing for years I can now breath!

you're right. I bought the same chair for my wife :D But one that is really worth in my opinion, this is the Eames Soft Pad Executive Chair. I had never sat on anything so comfortable. But this is not the same price either ...

Well after a bit of work on Saturday, I've mounted my 27in ACD onto a Humanscale M7 Monitor Stand. I've done this for two reasons, one is that by default the ACD is a touch too low for me. With the Humanscale I can adjust it to suit my needs. Also the stand whilst an ok place to put my Macbook Air, it cause the Air to move too easily when pulling cables etc out.

Image

I already had the Humanscale M7 mount in the loft, so the only thing I needed was the Apple VESA adapter. I've fitted one on the previous generation of Cinema Displays and that was very hard. The current ones are so much easier. The hidden screws are such an clever bit of engineering. Something only Apple would do.

Image

I don't use the full adjustment on the mount as I don't need it all at present.

With this setup I'm down to so few cables under the desk. It's crazy how far Apple have come with thinning out the cable mess over the last few years. My cable try underneath the desk looks rather sparse now.

I've seen your setup in a few places on MacRumors now. Visited your blog on how you did your desk. Love it man. Could you link to the clock? I don't think I've seen you post for that. Great stain color!

Thanks

The clock is actually a telephone, it's a BT reveal.

I just bought a 2012 13" MBP and am seriously considering splurging to get a TB display. I like the idea of using it as a docking station to plug in ethernet (yes, no wifi is available at desk), printer, HDD, and keyboard. What I want is to minimize the cables I need to plug into the MBP, since it will come and go as I take it to class.

Some reviews I have seen say there are some problems using it in this fashion. Have these been worked out? I will have to use Windows 7 as my primary OS. Can I assume there are no compatibility issues? I have a pair of Bose speakers. Do these need to be plugged into the MBP itself? Will they interfere at all with the built in speakers?

Hopefully, I can post my own modest setup in a few weeks. Thanks.

What desk Is that?

I am not sure to be honest, I bought it second hand.....

It actually came with two file drawers on the far right hand side that I took off.

Great Desk, would like to find a matching hutch with some shelves but the 3 monitors (23", 24", & 27" ) make that difficult

My new work setup

Just finished setting this up today. :)

Backside

Sure! I haven't figured out how to handle all the cables but figure I can do that with time.
