Thanks for the pics ihonda. Looking good, but my concern is the headphone jack cutout. Do you think it would be a concern for third party headphones with larger plugs? Or is it thin enough that anything should fit?

anything will fit. my beats (sadly i do own them) fit with no issues.

Where are you guys getting the Caudabe "XT" cases from other than JNGold.

What's the general consensus on shipping from Shumuri? Some are reporting decent times but I see some haven't received their cases.

I didn't know you were a product reviewer as well but I knew JNGold is. I know Caudabe is giving some early access, I just others were getting them elsewhere.

I got mine in around a week with regular shipping. The previous earlier version took multiple weeks. Not sure why this one came sooner.

I tried to convince myself that the Shumuri was the case, but it never had quite enough grip.
A month ago I stumbled upon this: the Anker Ultra Slim TPU case, and I haven't looked back. It has loads of grip, and fits the phone snugly.
I'd say it's about .5mm thicker than the Shumuri, and you get a clear and smoke version included, for a very cheap price.

So is the XT grippier than the veil? I've been using my 6+ naked since launch. I'm okay with staying that way but some camera and scratch protection might be nice. How would those of you compare the grip of these cases to a naked 6?

I was looking at this. Are the buttons responsive and is it a fingerprint magenet? I like my current NGP case since it feels nice to hold and does a good job of stopping fingerprints, but the buttons bother me a bit.

The XT is basically the same case as the original Veil except with the newer camera ridge and the bottom protection. The case is a bit grippier than a naked 6 but not as much as the black matte thin cases.

Gotcha. I had a desmay for my iPhone 5 and was guessing it would be the same. I place my phone down a lot and even though the lens is sapphire I have to be a bit more careful from scratches on the ring and back.

BTW shumuri has a 30% sale right now (code valentine). Makes the decision to wait for the XT a littler harder. Personally I'm debating on black XT or ocean blue shumuri extra. If shumuri had a black extra I'd just get that now. It might be possible by the time I get it the XT will start shipping though ha.

Does the Anker case protect the rear camera?

Cutout not as precise on newer cases

OK, I just got a new iPhone 6 Shumuri case for a friend, and compare that to the one that I got when the case first came out, there are two negatives:

1. There is now a Shumuri logo on the back.
2. The rear camera cut out is too big. The cutout on my case is 100% absolutely precise. The cutout on the newer case is maybe a millimeter larger all around.

Both cases are grey color and are otherwise identical.

I wish they labeled the colors on their website. I'm deciding on the Ocean Blue, or Silver. But I can't tell if the silver one is transparent. I want the clear but I'm more concerned about the case turning yellow over time like the other ones.

Is this the same material as the Caudabe Veil? I'm pretty iffy on plastic cases. I had a few on my Nexus 5 and they ended up scuffing the sides of my phone on installation and removal.

I have taken off the Veil and XT dozens of times. Just be careful when doing it and you shouldn't have any problem with scratching the iPhone. The plastic is so soft and thin I can't imagine it could scratch an aluminum backed/side phone.

For veil and shurumi owners, what about the long straight sides are the a bit flimpsy ? I had a laut slimskin en both sides where flimpsy.
