Thank you for proving my point once again. You're doing an excellent job.

Im just saying MMS is useless. If you don't think so, don't get an iPhone and let the grown ups go around using their PDAs for what they were intended to be used for.

No, you're saying that you find MMS to be useless. Which is fine, but don't tell me that I don't have a use for it, because you're wrong. And judging by the amount of posts about it, I'm not alone in feeling that way. If you're happy with no MMS, just sit back and shut up, because nobody cares.

MMS is better than email

MMS is better than email because:-

1) more people have MMS than email on their phones

2) You are notified of MMS with an alert

If someone sends me an email I may not check it for hours are even all day if I'm out and about. Someone sends me a SMS and I get an alert, check it and get straight back to them.

This is the whole point of SMS/MMS. Email can never replace that functionality. OK, you could set email to have an alert but I get hundreds of emails a day (with spam) so I would be chiming every few minutes walking down the street!

I don't think Apple are going to implement MMS as they think everyone will have email soon. They forget that it is not the same thing.

I know at least 3 people who want an iPhone but won't get one because of the lack of MMS.

Also, I think this subject should carry on and on. Apple want the complaints to die down. Maybe when the story gets on the evening news Apple will do something about it.

Let's start a petition, hold a rally or make one of those 'cool' iPhone ads saying, 'want MMS? Easy! Just buy any phone that's not an iPhone!'

And if you need the MMS feature, buy another phone and shut up.

No one on this thread has said that they need MMS. They want it as an extra feature. Tell me, do you have any games on your iPhone? Some people would think that games are a useless feature on the iPhone. But, we have them because it enhances the functionality of the iPhone experience, just as MMS would do. And be aware, the vast majority of apps available on the App Store are games, but as a necessary function, they are useless.

I don't understand how you can't wrapped your mind around the fact that people use the iPhone for many different functions.

Im thinking he is an older guy and doesnt share pictures with his older friends or his Kids ...if he has any.

Im not a real young guy either but im not old and i have many uses for MMS.

Try Flutter if you want to be able to send MMS. As for viewing them, its a pain, but i always have been able to see them. My friend from verizon just sent me a mms and it took me 30 minuets to pick it up, but eventually i was able to. If Apple isn't going to step to the plate, AT&T should step up and fix their "viewmymessage.com." As others have said, your beating a dead horse right now, on these forums.

If you want to send an MMS all you have to do is send an email to their phone number @vzwpix.com or something, google it. Flutter sucks, it gives the receiver a website to go to so basically its viewmymessage.com for everyone. I dont have a problem emailing phone numbers, its viewmymessage.com that sucks a$$

Your right ! I never realized that cause I've only sent messages to iPhone users, and that made it so much eaiser for them. Does the @vzwpix.com work for all carriers?

so let me get this straight.

The iPhone fits almost all of my needs. Just to use small numbers, lets say 9 of 10, and MMS would make it 10 of 10. I (and many, many others) believe MMS would make the phone even better. So because it lacks a minor, and easily fixable/addable feature, we bought the wrong phone?

I guess you're right. I shouldn't have bought the phone because it lacks a few things, not because of all the things it does do...

Care to buy me a new phone?

I'd like a nice "grown up" PDA... how about the BlackBerry Bold!? It has all those grown up features like a media player, video recorder, it takes pictures, has MMS, voice dial, great screen, excellent email, and a ton of other things too! Hmmm... that might be too childish too. Maybe only a silly teenager would use that

Just because you don't want it and think it is stupid doesn't mean you're right. It's your opinion, which you're entitled too, just as others are entitled to theirs. There's always multiple view points. If you hate MMS, you should probably stop posting in threads about people wanting MMS. Just sayin'

I guess it would make it easier for iPhone users, i never thought of that, i dont have many iphone-using friends so i dont see much use for it but yes, each carrier has a different thing tho. Here they are or you can just google them in the future. Google like send MMS from iPhone or something like that:)

Alltel = xxxxxxxxxx@message.alltel.com
AT&T = xxxxxxxxxx@mms.att.net
Boost Mobile = xxxxxxxxxx@myboostmobile.com
Cingular (AT&T) = xxxxxxxxxx@mms.mycingular.com
Einstein PCS = xxxxxxxxxx@einsteinmms.com
Sprint = xxxxxxxxxx@messaging.sprintpcs.com
T-Mobile = xxxxxxxxxx@tmomail.net
US Cellular = xxxxxxxxxx@mms.uscc.net
Verizon Wireless = xxxxxxxxxx@vzwpix.com
Virgin Mobile = xxxxxxxxxx@vmobl.com

This would be better if i was aware of my friend's carriers. Still, gotta work with what you got.

It's as easy as this, if MMS is hella important, stop bitching and buy another phone. If it's not that important to you, stop bitching and be happy. Im sick of people bitching on everything, the phone is hella cheap to you americans anyhow, buy two phones.

Apple won't include MMS because some people whine on messageboards, so why bitch about it?

So, why are you posting in this thread still? Why don't you practice what you preach.

And buy 2 phones? I hope you're joking. That is amongst one of the most stupidest and wasteful comments I have ever read.

If people can start threads on what pocket they keep their iPhone in or what celebs have the iPhone, I'm pretty sure an MMS thread is legit.

Im not saying that other threads are better, but im getting sick of people just whining. Do something constructive instead... Apple will not implent MMS because people write on forums, no matter how many people do, better to mail them or ask customer service about it or stuff.

You are such a naive little child. If you're sick of it, STOP READING IT. You're the one voluntarily coming into this thread time and time again to crap all over the place. Just stop coming in here, and you won't have to read it anymore!

Hey Davidkoh; "Do something constructive instead" of posting in an MMS thread trying to convince people that MMS is useless. Just keep digging....

...better to mail them or ask customer service about it or stuff.

I shouldn't make assumptions about the other posters in this thread, but they should be doing this. As for me, I have written into the feedback website about this over 5 times. But your right in one thing, the squeaky wheel usually gets the grease.
