As far as I know, all we have at the moment is that it'll be launched 30 June in "100+ countries"
- Yes, but the interesting thing is they sometimes mention that "more than 100 countries" thing specifically for Beats1 radio. They're pretty mum on what goes for the entire Music service...

Are Beatles included with Apple Music like they are with iTunes? I heard they weren't.

If the streaming quality isn't as good as Spotify's (320kbps) then there's not too much point many people switching over imo.

256 AAC is better than 320 KBps (or same quality at least). Samsung still makes smartphones for people caught up by numbers.

Anyone in Canada using the beta get the  music sign up window come up?

Yes! I don't know why the header, description and one button don't appear properly though. It's beta, so yeah.

'Almost every song ever recorded' - but still no definitive word on catalogue size yet...

Will be interesting to see what price will pop up over here - still no anouncement yet. Pretty sure the offer will be 9,99€ meaning we'll face a premium yet again...

I am currently subscribed to Beats (solo account) prepaid for a year (ends in November). I understand I can migrate my subscription from Beats to Apple Music. However, I would like to sign up to a family subscription at $14.99 per month. Have they mentioned yet how this will possibly work? Not as straight forward as a solo to solo account. Would be a shame if I have to wait until November.

I would assume/hope the iOS9 beta would also get access to this when 8.4 officially releases?

Cool, at least there's a good chance that us Canadians will be able to sign up on june 30.

Thanks.:)

It'll be available worldwide, actually. Thanks to Beats 1 radio. And oh! We get the same price tag too! $9.99. That's what it says.

Family Sharing allows for mixed account types. My Family account has myself as the master user with my iCloud user account as my user sign in and the master iTunes account as a sub account. Other family users are the same. They log in using their iCloud account and get access to the master iTunes account's purchases.
But I don't have family sharing. We all use the same iTunes account just with sub iClouds.

Well, as we never saw an iTunes Radio rollout over here this is exactly my thought as well. iTunes Music surely won't be available in all parts of Europe this year. 100+ countries only related to Beats Radio.

Since other streaming services took forever to get here, I was assuming that Canada wouldn't get the service for a year or more.

I don't care if its 12.99 in Canada, It'll be nice to have an 1 music service solution w/ a built-in app from apple.

Then set up a Family Sharing. That would be easier. Make the account that you are all using as the Organizer so all of you could still share the apps, music, movies you purchased from that account.

At WWDC they said it was from June until September (I guess until the release of iOS 9).

Sounds like they're saying "we're offering if for free for the first three months" as opposed to "the first three months after you sign up are free". Oh well -- it's still a free three months, and I have a feeling I'll be switching from Spotify anyway.

Thanks for the 411!

It's on Apple Canada website, so yeah. We're getting it. And it already appeared on my 8.4 Beta Music app. It says $9.99 and $14.99 for Family Sharing.

I just found out that the feature "Listen to Apple Music radio stations" will only be available to people outside of the US if they subscribe. US customers get these stations with limited skipping even if they don't subscribe and obviously unlimited skipping with subscription. But apart from that from what I read services will be identical. Looking forward to it. Also be sure to check out the FAQ section on the buttom of the page. From what I read it states that an Apple Music subscription will include "iTunes Match" like uploading your own music to iCloud, hopefully not against your storage limit :D
Also on the Beats music site, seams to be down for whatever reason right now (can't get the link, sry), they clearly state that Apple Music is going to feature the full iTunes Music catalogue :D Definitely looking forward to Apple Music, I hope there's no limitations for the family plan, i.e. max one person listening at the same time. That would really break it for me..
Can somebody help me understand the difference between Spotify's 320 kbps MP3 / OGG Vorbis and Apple Music's 256 kbps AAC? I'ld really like to know about the difference and the ups and downs of each format :)
Thx and have a good one!
