I feel like Season 2 really did start tonight. Last week was all about Juliette. This week is all about the reaction of the main Silo to seeing Juliette go over the hill. The pacing felt a lot better than last week but it just feels like the season is building and that's great. Looking forward to next week.

100% agree. The first episode was quite “meh”, but now we’re talking…

Each episode is bringing in more interesting things and most questions. I would love to know more about Meadows' past and if she was a flamekeeper or not. I also found Solo to be interesting and looking forward to learning more about him. I also am looking forward to maybe learning about the origins of the silos. What happened? Who are the originators of the pact, stuff like that. A lot of people are finding season 2 boring for some reason. I'm finding it really interesting and about on par with Season 1. Also, Thank You Apple for the Thanksgiving gift of releasing the episode 2 days early.

It's probably a hallucination or a dream, or something unexpected, who knows?
The origin to this can be anything, but probably not what we think.
Who knows if this even plays out on our planet? It can be a shadow or prison planet....to 🌏
Regardless, I really want to know the origin to these Silos.

Juliette bring out the da## truth!

Have to say I'm not really into character interactions in this show, especially between the different classes. There's just something missing there in my opinion. Lacking intensity, feels very 'modern TV' without taking the living conditions into account. Was it any different in season 1? I can't recall but may have to go back for a rewatch.

Also physical feats seem rather unbelievable in these first few episodes: Juliette coming all the way and then performing all that work without drinking or having a single bite. She should have passed out a couple times probably over the course of a day at least. She got all wet too, come to think of it but it didn't seem to have affected her much. Even her hair looks on point after the whole ordeal. ;)
Also how exactly do you have a conversation through a closed vault door?

The guy who was bound, hooded and gagged and probably left in that state for a while shrugs it all off and gets confrontational right after the gag is removed is another one. Seems hard to believe as is Solo's reaction when he gets close to his first human in decades.

This show is way too slow, the first 3 episodes can fit into 30 minutes of screenplay in terms of plot advancement.

I wouldn’t mind if we had answers but we are getting so little to keep the interest up.

And the acting, I don’t know why but it feels very bad to ridicule sometimes.

It’s not comparable but I rewatched Breaking Bad for the third. Even today in terms of story advancement, plot and character development, you realize how bad is Silo.

Its the way of stuff on screen these days, slowly paced to fill the time, same with films, 3 hour long films nowadays have less plot and action than an hour long B movie from the 1930s.

I'm enjoying the show a lot though.

Another thing -

If I recall from season 1 right: the power generator of the silo is located deep down below the main structure. But in the dead silo it's submerged. Even if they have some backup generator somewhere up top in or around the vault - how is there still power running all these years later?

Hey guys! Has anyone of you read the books? I mean, I honestly don’t like super slow paced series and this one seems, from what you say, a really slow paced series. So, if I start watching it, chances are that I’ll end up wanting to know more and more, and waiting years to know how the plot develops can be frustrating.

So if I start watching it and reach the end of this season 2, which probably is still the first book, I know I won’t be able to wait for season 3 or 4 so… I think I’ll switch to the books to be able to finish the story sooner.

That’s why I’d really like to know, from someone that has read all three books, if the story gets closure and mysteries get revealed at the end of the third book, and if the AppleTV show is following the events of the books.

Considering they mention the "mines" a lot now i hope we're going to see them one day because i wonder just how they fit into the world thats being built by the series so far.

Ok, now I know why Apple made Vision Pro.

And the Apple stores probably evolve downwards, right?

I know many aren't happy with S2 but I still look forward to it every week. I enjoy so many of the cast. So happy they greenlit s3 and 4. So I'll be out here all by my lonesome on a windy limb and keep watching. This is my type of genre. Plus I went to school with Robbins and have always been enamored with his talent. Shawshank is one of my fav films

Agree with shadow puppet - it's a great show. It's a big old series of books with a complex storyline so it needs to develop slowly and carefully and in my opinion Apple are doing a great job with it. Great that s3 and s4 have been confirmed.

It’s being renews for 2 more seasons. Looks like season 2 gets into book 2 of the series.

The power is coming from outside the silo and wired into IT. They haven't revealed exactly from where yet.

What's more puzzling to me is why the computers are all CRT-based terminals when it's now been established they had modern flatscreen technology at the time the silos were built. I guess they thought the CRT terminals would last longer and be easier to fix?

Yes where are the mines? I was wondering the same thing!

I won't read through this thread because I don't want to see spoilers, but I just started Silo last week, due to reactivating my TV+ subscription for the second season of Severance and wanting to get more mileage out of it.

I'm loving it so far. It reminds me of shows like Lost or The Leftovers, or frankly, Severance as well.

It took me the longest time to finally watch Silo as well. I finally started it up again due to the very positive reviews here and elsewhere It has exceeded all of my expectations through two seasons and now I can't wait for season 3 to come out. I know it's going to be a long wait, but I know that it will be worth it when it does come out, probably next year.
