Is this the official Silo thread?

I was going to post the other day, but I found it strange that it had so little activity…

I still haven’t seen the finale, but I’m going to watch it tonight. Do you recommend watching any previous episodes from previous seasons? Maybe the first season’ finale, the first episode from the second season, or the final episode of the second season?

Please avoid spoilers.

If you have followed the entire season so far, then rewatching the previous seasons isn't really necessary. I'm probably going to watch the series again before season 4 starts because it's just that good.

Yes, I’m probably going to do the same, and maybe I’ll order Wool to read it this winter.

What a finale. They’ve delivered! And thankfully they haven’t left us with a huge cliffhanger. Obviously we all want to know how our rebels make their way into Silo 1, but I think the arc developed during this season has had a satisfying resolution.

WOW, what an episode! So great! And what relieves me the most is that we got so many answers to questions we’ve had been asking all along! Like how did people from Silo 17 die, how does Silo 1 operate, where does the forward vault lead to? is the air outside breathable

Just with that I’m satisfied about the finale and the whole three seasons.

I was a little confused about one thing:

Why didn't Silo 1 shoot Juliette before she got to Silo 17? Did they just not notice, which is odd because it looked like they notice everything.
I’m pretty sure they will cover that in a flashback during S04. But from what we’ve seen in the S03, my impression is that:

They didn’t expect many of the things that happened back at Silo 18. It could well be a consequence of having Helen’s genes on the gene pool of Silo 18. They are smart, and they managed to deceive Silo 1 many times. Even Camille!

But regardless of their smartness, there’s another factor. From what we learn the last time Daniel/Donald/Troy is awakened, the events that took place during the three seasons, happen under Victor’s shift (oh, that’s why the second novel is named SHiFT), and we’ve seen Victor is not the smartest leader. Not at least as Mr killer Troy.

So they didn’t see it coming, it took them off guard, and weren’t prepared. It looks like they need to deploy the drones a bit ahead of time, and after they sprayed Juliette with the poison/compound on her exit, they expected her to die in 5 minutes.

Instead, she got to clean the camera, she went up to the tree… she fell… but then she recovered and started to walk straight towards Silo 17. I guess that was the moment where they started to freak out in Silo 1. If she hadn’t gone that way, and gone into Silo 17, she would probably had been found by a drone and killed. But she was smart plus lucky

I’m still processing some of the info revealed in the finale. Many questions have been resolved and I guess the questions remaining are few, although quite important. Such as what has happened to the world? No, really. Is everyone else in the world dead? What about Elon Musk? Is he in cryogenic sleep as well? What happened to Helen?

But overall, very satisfied with the ending. I was really afraid of being left with a thousand more questions as in Lost, but thankfully that wasn’t the case.

For a season that started out so slow, the back half was incredible. Can't wait for the final season.
Yeah. They took too much time with Juliette’s amnesia but, well, it added a bit of drama. I just hope they don’t introduce a lot of filler stories in S04 and explore what we don’t know about the other Silos or the outside world itself. As well as the main story: Juliette and the rebels breaking into Silo 1 I also want to see how the story developed right after The nuke from episode 09, and during the first days, weeks, months or years.

We also hear on this final episode that there was a previous escape from a Silo, before Silo 17 events, and they managed to run away? So it might be interesting to have an insight on other Silos during Season 04

That was a great finale last night. Really excited about the final season and that teaser. So many questions answered but I was a little confused about one thing:

They talked about it.

They thought she would just die like the others, they did not know they used the "good" tape.
