Well it's begun, in the most teasing, annoying way possible :D

Now all I need is the damn MacBook to arrive

As an aside, that should be all of the cables and adapters I need, I won't even be using them all of the time. Maybe it's just me but that little pile at £144 doesn't seem that bad to me. Feck it, it's only money :D

The only other thing I've bought for it is a USB 3 to USB-C cable for an external hard drive and that cost me a whole £1.

The Belkin was actually the first one I added to the cart, then I thought better of it. It'll only be used once with the new MacBook for the initial TimeMachine backup.

Then I'm thinking of blowing the dust off an old Mac Mini I have to use as my media server, if I get rid of my iMac. The old Mac Mini has a knackered Ethernet port, so the new adapter will get shifted over to that. No point buying two adapters.

Good thinking! I got rid of my iMac as well. Really loving the MacBook Pro. I have a 2012 Mac mini setup as a server and plex server. The best thing about it is the Time Machine service which allows everything in your house to get backed up without thinking much about it..love that.

I had the Space Gray model for a day and it really seemed to pick up finger prints and look dirty quicker than the silver. I had to replace it the following day due to a power problem and picked the silver instead. Definitely stays nicer looking in my opinion and it just seems more "classic Apple" to me.

woo, nTB owner of silver, after SG 12" rMB for two years,

like it A LOT more, its classic, tried and true, and will take a whaling better

no ragrets

is this thread needed? of course not,

but considering SG is dominating I would imagine for the novelty, I think couldn't hurt to have an underdog discussion

I also have no beef with SG, in the right lighting it looks sleek as hell, but its a variable thing,

Silver always shines, independent of lighting,

Yeah I like the silver a lot.

TBH, if SG was the color Apple produced for the last many years, and silver was the new option, I think many would like the silver more haha.

If I got the 2016 MBP, I would undoubtedly get the ntMBP silver.
