Silver MacBook Air M2 owners

Currently it seems ups lost my package so now apple is shipping me another replacement which won't be here until the 20th now...

Man that sucks. Sorry to hear about all of your frustration. Hopefully the next Mac will actually arrive and it will be perfect!

I just picked up a silver base M2 MBA at BB for $1,049 on sale. I believe the sale ended last night. Anyway, I set it up, and I am using it right now. Very nice machine. Happy with the color. It's nice to be back to the traditional silver after using space grey for a few years.

Silver has definitely grown to be my favourite colour out of all of them so far. Just very clean and classy looking. Still have a soft spot for the midnight colour as its different and gives it a more modern look.

So update, after ups lost my replacement, apple put a rush order in for another one that showed up well ahead of schedule, just got here this morning. This one looks to be the keeper so far, definitely a lot smoother lip around the bottom plate, screen looks very nice as well.

Thanks! its been heck of journey to get to this point lol

Im going to keep both for a couple days just to be sure there is no quirks to this new one as the current one I had was near perfect besides that stupid lip and I was so close to just telling them not to bother sending another replacement at all lol. Trying my best not to overthink it all this time around as ive really been just enjoying this Mac for awhile now, so no matter what, one of these is a keeper lol

Sometimes you have a series of problems when buying electronics.

I have had issues with Lenovo and Samsung as well as Apple.

If it is a good company they will make it right eventually. I went through 3 Lenovos and 3 Samsung galaxy books before ended getting a good one.

Apple is usually the best at making things right but you generally have to talk to a supervisor in customer service on the phone. In the store they just dismiss you and tell you there is nothing they can do.

It is odd you would think it would be the other way around.

Yeah I wouldn’t over think it. Our minds will always find a problem. In any case I really hope this is the “one”!

Yea I have a direct line to apples senior customer care team and they have been great so far during all of this

Oh no, wish you'd have waited for the new M2 14"s. Due to customer backlash re finger prints, rumour has it Apple will have Cosmos Carbon in their new line up. Abort, abort order!

I love when there is a good ending!

The more I use my M2 MBA the more I enjoy it. I never really thought about fans before this device. Once I had a Surface Pro with an i5 that was fanless and really enjoyed but this is a completely different experience. It feels like the power of a 13" MBP or better in a super portable yet solid design.

I am glad you stuck with it even though it felt hopeless there for a while!
