I agree. The antenna bands are a bit distracting on all the models so might as well go with what looks best from the front.

Silver, Space Grey or Gold? Which did you get and why?

I agree. The antenna bands are a bit distracting on all the models so might as well go with what looks best from the front.
I first got the gold, but the color looked too much like one of those Michelle watches in rose gold, so I gave it to the wife and picked up a silver. The contrast with the antenna bands is much less pronounced. Black/space gray has always been a no go. Those black bezels always look dirty.
I ordered the Space Gray. The white iPhones always seemed ugly to me, and the gold one appears a bit tacky. Looks nice at a glance though.

I'm actually kind of wondering if it's worth going through the hassle of ordering a white/silver iPhone 6 and then sell my black/space grey once the other comes in. My black/space grey has Apple Care+ included. If I order the white/silver one with AC+ it's $1,082.54 with tax (Canadian). Would I get close to that for my now opened iPhone 6?
I debated between silver and gold for some time. While I much prefer the look of the gold Touch ID ring, the antenna bands were less pronounced on the silver model so I opted for that. However if the space grey version had a gold Touch ID ring that's the one I would've gotten.
This. And it's probably why I'll always get a black bezel front phone (wouldn't mind some choices on the back though). It's just so nice to have the screen blend into the bezel where you can't tell where one ends and the other begins, like for the letterbox portions of movies or setting the Kindle reader to a black background with bright text.
I had the black front for the 4,5,5s. My 4s was the white one and honestly I was starting to miss the white front especially since iOS 7. So I got the silver. Plus minor scratches should be less noticeable (bottom of the phone). I actually like the panda effect for some reason. I also like not seeing any finger prints because that stuff drives me crazy. I got the black Apple leather case and couldn't be happier.
Originally I wanted the Silver 128 GB 6 Plus. But at the time (launch day), the silver was sold out and had either Gold or SG. I decided to go with the Gold 128 GB 6 Plus.
That's what I originally wanted. The white/silver iPhone 6 with the black leather case (which I did get).
Yes and that means you thread jacked yourself, which for all intensive purposes is worse than thread jacking someone else's thread.
Space Grey because I like the black face of the phone. Would have liked Apple to make it a little darker though.
Space gray. It looks the best in my opinion and is better for watching videos due to its' black bezel.
Space gray is a chameleon, too. It looks silver in some overcast daylight and gold in warm incandescent lighting. I like it.
I got SG because my husband made up my mind for me when he placed the order. I couldn't make up my mind. I liked them all. Then for awhile I regretted the choice and wanted gold, but now I'm back to loving the black bezels and sleek look of the screen with the black bezels. But I still love them all.
Black, because I ordered 6+ and didn't want all that Gold/Didn't like the bright white antenna bands and white front.
