Does anyone know when Sim City is due out?
Is anyone else looking forward to this as much as me?
 
Read on another forum (posted by an EA person) that SimCity is being submitted to the appstore TODAY

But given that i read there is a large backlog in the approval process it might be a week or more before we see it .... unless EA have a fast-track approval

Looks terrific! Can't wait!

I thought SC3000 for the PC had terrain (hills, valleys) though? Not a huge loss if this one doesn't, but just pointing it out.
 
Oh dear, another app I'm going to have to buy. What with this, Warfare and Chronicles I can't spend any time on anything. Argh!
 
This is so cool. I spent countless hours playing SC3 on Mac OS 9. I'm waiting on a Touch until next September, but this makes me want it all the more.

I was seriously bummed out by the most recent update. Money is also tight, and I do have a 2G Nano for music. I'm betting the update will be worth the (long) wait, and I clearly can live without it right now.

I would be kind of shocked if EA (and others at their level) did not have a fast track process. This is EA we're talking about. And Sim City. This game is important for positioning the iPhone, like Spore was, albeit much moreso, as this game seems much more complete than Spore for the iPhone was.

Yeah, hopefully it comes out real soon, since I take my final exams Wednesday, and won't have any more classes until January. :D
 
Holy hell I wonder how much of a drain on your battery this game will do.

@ Walter - No luck here, but if you download sheepshaver (free os 9 emu or sim, can't remember which) you can play it through that, albeit a little slowly. Sheep shaver really took me back :rolleyes:
