I can't seem to build a stadium, it says my sims want it and so I go to the "Rewards/Gift" category, and there is no stadium there...? Whyyy

Anyone else have this problem?

To get to the stadium you have to click "..." then the cartoon speaking bubble (you know, like in comics when a character says something), this takes you to your advisors screen. On that screen, there's a link to "petitioners", go there. On that screen should be (so long as you've seen on the ticker that they are demanding a stadium) a petitioner about the stadium, go to that one and "select" it. On this screen you can accept or decline the stadium...THEN it appears in your "gifts" (but costs 75k).

Marinas - You have to build it on coastline that is perfectly straight. I don't believe (or haven't found a way) to build/take away costline to make it straight so it has to be on naturally occuring straight coast...built it a few tiles into the land, make sure it has a road, water, and electricity, and it should grow.

How do you take screenshots from an iPhone? Very cool...I want to!

Oh, water (when building pipes and pumps) and most utilities, etc. don't actually go into effect until the following month after which they're built. Hence the 3x speed ("> > >") makes it very nice you barely notice.

PLEASE I need electricity help!!!

I feel silly even having to ask, because I have played on the pc, but I just cannot get the power to work right. I did it like they said in the tutorial, and no power is getting to the lines, let alone the rest of the town. They're connected to the power plant... am I missing something??? 😕

The power plant supplies the power. This is point A. The city needs power. This is point B. Draw a line between point A and B. Do this with power lines. Your welcome.

One thing to note, you don't need to connect everything with power lines. I dont remember what the grid rule is but if you build a certain tile distance away from the building that has power, you don't need power lines. I think it's something like 2-4 tiles between each structure. If they are touching or separated by a street, then you really don't have to worry about power lines as those are close enough...unless you're OCD of course.

I've cracked the stadium

same thing with the water. some things just aren't working right it seems. to quote form the strategy thread;



I'm also having a problem with the stadium. i built one successfully for one City. Started a new one and can no longer get to it. If you get the sims demanding one and go to the parks etc, menu and flick between the first and last structures (community ballpark and small park) you'll see that the stadium is there, it just right past it really quick. flicking back and forth shows it if you're looking for it. it's not a stadium like in sim city 2000 where you could pick the sport played in it (i think that was 2000?). instead its just a big baseball stadium.

Okay, here's how you get the stadium. Once the people start complaining, let them complain for about a year or two(I'm only saying what I did) and go to the advisor board and tap petitioners. Keep scrolling down until you see build a stadium. In the description it should say something like "I was driving down the street..." And it has the build button or the reject button. Of course, hit build. Now, go to gifts and it should be sitting right there. WARNING: the stadium costs a frikin 75,000 simoleons.
