Sim City

I'm in Japan, and I only have access to the Japanese version (all of it's in Japanese). Is the game easily playable if I don't understand what's written, or are there reports that need to be understood. I've been looking forward to this game for a while, and now I'm worried that I won't be able to play it. :(

Do you have a UK or US (etc.) iTunes store account? If so, you should just be able to select that store and download the english version.
 
It seems to run pretty well but I only got a few steps into the tutorial and it crashed.
 
Sim City for DS was sooooooooooo bad. I hope it's not the same version. Can anyone confirm/disprove?

I heard rumors that for the most part it's a exact replica of Sim City 3000 for computer.

Any Videos would be appreciated :) I hope to get this game and Ferrari GT for my new iPod Touch I'm getting Christmas.
 
There seems to be some sort of major flaw with the menus in the game - not the ones which are overlaid on the gameplay, but the ones which fill the screen. My iPhone has crashed 3 times now on these.
 
wouldn't be suprised. I feel like this was a bit rushed through approval, it was only submitted like yesterday i think. Kind of bogus because Underworld (formerly drug wars) was submitted like last month and has yes to be approved.
 
Ignore those clowns claiming that the app has been crashing on them. Rock solid on my 3g, very snappy and easily the best app on the iphone.

Bar none.

Stunning.
 
Good game. Its not crashing on me at all. You have to just get used to where all the buttons are at though, but once thats down-pact, its just like the SimCity you'll play on the computer.

This game is better than Spores, IMO!
 
Don't think I want to go thru the headaches until all the bugs are out of it.
 
I just purchased this app, I'm not sure why. I have never played sim city or any of the other sims games. I think I just bought it because of the hype, hope I like it.
 
I have played it for an hour. The controls are easy to figure out after a few minutes. I restarted the game after downloading it and I haven't had 1 crash. The game is awesome and it looks pretty damn good on the iPhone/iPod touch. The graphics are really nice and the attention to detail is great. I'm extremely impressed and have no trouble recommending this app. It is well worth the $9.99 it costs.
 
Looks awesome.. I'll probably pick this up as soon as i see a youtube vid of it.

Because, as you know, everyone comes into the forums and simply says that the app is crashing, when everyone knows it's really not. :rolleyes:

Face it. You're not the only one that has an iPhone. The app may not crash for you, but do you want someone else to buy a $10 app, only to find that it does crash on them, like it has for so many others, because they went with your ignorant comment?
