well done mates.
Hopefully our seer can manage at least another read, which I think could be the final one, with a bit of luck (i think it's between melrose and aggie, plus possibly nekdgirl).
I am actually quite optimistic at this point, and I think the village almost secured the win.
There are still 10 people and only one wolf, but he’s running out of places to hide.
He needs to kill 8 villagers (directly and through lynching) to win.
I can see two possible scenarios:
1) eldiablo is the seer. 4 people are cleared. 6 are not. Since the cleared ones are un-lyncheable, the wolf needs to kill all the cleared ones first, while the village needs to lynch the uncleared.
- If the wolf starts with the cleared villagers other than eldiablo (to avoid the hunters’ protection) even if he kills one each night, eldiablo will clear another one each night (or he finds the wolf, in which case it’s game over the next day), so in 2 days the cleared people would be the majority and the wolf cannot win anymore (since he will eventually be lynched by the cleared people).
- If the wolf attack eldiablo and fails, we go back to the previous situation, with increasing cleared people every night.
- If the wolf kills eldiablo tonight, then we have 6 suspects (melrose, aggie, neko, nathan, plutonius, dontpanic) and 3 peasants (moyank, ravenvii, lbro). The worst case scenario is that during the day, an innocent suspect is lynched, during each night a cleared peasant is killed. We end up after 3 days/nights with 3 survivors, all suspects, one of which is still the wolf. If he gets yet another innocent lynched, he wins. This is the best scenario for the wolf, but it requires that all the night kills are effective and that he can escape lynching for 4 times consecutively.
2) eldiablo is not the seer. It means he is the wolf and everyone else is a peasant (and the seer was chrmjenkins, systole or neko; anyone else would have spoken up). This is very unlikely at this point, but it would be an interesting situation.
he would still need to night-kill the ones he cleared (because if they end up with the 3 cleared ones and himself, they’ll have to draw the necessary conclusion that he lied at some point, and therefore he must be the wolf), but at the same time he needs to keep pretending to be the seer and ‘clear’ additional people.
Eventually he would paint himself in a corner and share the village with peasants whom he cleared and who would understandably become quite mad at him.
So the wolf has still a very tiny chance of pulling it off, but it’s very though for him. I would be very impressed if he lasts two more days.
As far as location, I am in place considered by some as one of the achievements (with the wheel, wars and others) that proves humans are smarter than dolphins, who just muck about in the water having a good time.
