Siri is awesome, but unfortunately you have to have perfect English (and I thought I did ) to succeed with it. I have an accent and half the time Siri does not understand me :mad: I'll wait for Siri in my native language.

I read somewhere that the choice between US, UK, and Australian English can make quite a difference. Give them a try, perhaps your accent fits better with a different option?

ps. Or we need "international english" options

Site for funny Siri responses.

Found this site with images of funny Siri responses.
http://www.accordingtosiri.com/

One of my favs from it was:
User: What are you wearing?
Siri: Aluminosilicate glass and stainless steel. Nice, huh?

:)

I hope that some of IBM's Watson technology gets wrapped into Siri at some point.

Dunno if this has been posted yet, apologies if it has:

Q: Can you tell me a good joke?

Siri: "Two iPhones walk into a bar... I forget the rest."

lolz

They should have added an Alan Turing easter egg.

Here is what I got when I asked Siri " Who is my daddy?"

Are you human?
-Close enough I'd say.

Are you AI?
-I can't answer that.

What is your life span?
-What's with all the personal questions.

AWESOME! It took me a number of tries, but I finally got the same thing.

Hubby's sitting here theorizing that they have writers analyzing the Siri data and adding new responses to the most-asked questions.

That's the only thing I can figure -- they've got some people at Apple writing responses in real-time to these nonsensical questions and just adding them to the database of canned responses that Siri can give you.

It's actually an AI machine doing that.

no, some responses and actions are AI, a lot of this is similar to AI programs previously created. It is the best implementation, but quite a few are based on random scripts.

It is impressive, but I was hoping for 'add to contacts' and running any app out of the box.

Someone please ask Siri and post if there are any good responses

Why is a raven like a writing desk
Do you know any riddles
Why did the chicken cross the road
Why is the sky blue
If a tree falls in the woods...
mickey's a mouse, donald's a duck, Pluto is a dog, what is goofy?
"I'm going to disneyland"

I did get one good response in the apple store when I played with it. I asked it "what time is it in Cupertino?" and it gave me the time followed by
"hey I know people there!"

Found a good one! When asked 'Tell me a story' Siri mentions Eliza in the far far away story, so I asked who is Eliza and got this.

I assume it refers to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ELIZA

Serious Siri question

I've been trying to get Siri to perform an action when I leave or arrive at a certain destination but I can't do it. (I've seen this referred to as setting up a geofence.)

Is there something i have to do ahead of time to define certain areas that I want Siri to use as location triggers?

Make sure location services are on for the reminders app.
