Sorry ... you are mistaken ... latest phone OS is Gingerbread and its open ... Honeycomb is the tablet equivalent and we are not discussing that :)

I know Android users love to call iPhone users "delusional" for manipulating facts in a way that makes Apple seem better. This is a prime example of the opposite side doing the same thing. I don't give a **** if it's designed for tablets or phones. It's Android, it's the latest version, and it's locked. When Google announced Honeycomb would never be open source, I was genuinely surprised. At least as an iOS dev you know where you stand, with Google, they seem to be fine with changing the rules at any time if it benefits them. Bait and switch.

How do you know an iPad version is not in the works? There are enough differences between the two products that they may just not be ready with an iPad version yet if they were focusing on the phone first.

What I will agree was kind of ****** was pulling the Siri app from the App store. I could understand not wanting people to be confused but they could have renamed it (Siri Lite) and restricted it to iPhone 4 or older devices.

Siri had a lot of customizations to work on older hardware. Apple may have decided it wasn't worth maintaining a kludgy codebase.

Its funny you say "opposite side" ... I thought my post was meant to be in both-sides ?!?

Yes I do and since I could not make up my mind, I ended up playing in both the worlds ... lol

No reason why Siri wouldn't run on iphone 4, yet Apple will force you to upgrade for that feature. Pretty lame.

Here is the problem w/ your statement: no one is being "forced" to do anything they don't want to do. People that upgrade for the Siri feature do so with their own free will. People that stick w/ their iPhone 4 are hardly being left for dust with the iPhone 4S. Siri is a neat feature not a critical one.

I think you guys are getting trolled.

What if Siri requires faster CPU a5 to run smoothly !?

Why do you think android handsets having such problems of running the same os and programs... Buggy and glitchy..because it's a one size fits all mentality.

"open" to virus or hackers!? No thanks .

What I read from OP...

ZOMGZZZZZ my iPhone 4 doesn't get Siri but it does get iOS5... so not fairrr!!!

I bought an Android 1.6 device and then they were liek, no 2.0 for jou!!!
Then I bought a 2.1 device, and all the others phones got 2.3.5, but mine is still on 2.1 O_O... And now they are releasing 4.0, and my phone doesn't support it...

ANDROID RUELZ!!
